Looking for a tea room suggested by Siri, we ended up at New Beginning Deli. Sometimes you just get lucky. Obviously, we can’t comment on the tea room we didn’t visit, but boy howdy we have nothing but praise for the deli. My husband had the club sandwich, which was huge and delicious. I don’t remember what I ate (we were on the downhill side of a 2-week vacation and memories of meals, be they ever so tasty, tend to blend together). I do remember the lemonade. Freshly squeezed, tart (the way I like it), icy cold—it has ruined me for other lemonades. About half a mile west of exit 110 on I-95. Highly recommend.

We’ve been looking for a breakfast place that WASN’T the same old garbage you’d expect around a truck stop in either direction. This is our 3rd year living in this area and we just BARELY discovered this place. It is slightly tucked back off of Jefferson Davis Hwy & Ladysmith (relatively speaking), But man it this place worth the extra 10 second drive.

Walking in, I noticed lots of decorations, with balloons to celebrate their 1 year anniversary. The cashier was very friendly, even giving us a sample to try. The food was made in no more than 10 minutes, and tasted amazing. The only recommendation I have is to add extra napkins for each table. Overall, the environment was very friendly, and food was delicious. Will definitely be coming back.

Ordered 3 tacos today, asked for corn tortillas on the side. Heated up for dinner and I am officially hooked. They were delicious. Tres leche cake was the perfect dessert. This place is a hidden gem. Highly recommend.
