Came for drinks in the beginning of July but they didn’t renew their alcohol license so they couldn’t sell alcohol….I should’ve known something was up when there was literally no one at the restaurant when I was there. Maybe had two other tables with 2-3 people. I decided to stay anyways to try the food again. I came before and had the birria tacos. Was not impressed then but still wanted to come back to try their other dishes. Still wasn’t impressed now. Ordered steak fajitas and ground beef chimichanga. Fajitas did not taste authentic at all. Those were the smallest chimichangas I’ve ever seen, and it barely had any filling! It was mainly tortilla!! What I liked the most was the chips and salsa…service wasn’t impressive either. Like I said earlier, it was literally just my table the majority of the evening and our waitress was not attentive at all. We would ask for napkins, utensils, more salsa, etc. and she would not remember anything….we would have to constantly remind her when she came back to our table to refill our water…it was a struggle. Overall, I don’t think I will come back. If I do, it certainly will not be for the food. Maybe for the drinks because a gentleman said they are in the process of getting their license renewed and for the views. Love the atmosphere. That’s pretty much it. Appearance and ambiance are nice especially during the evening. Food and service, not so much.

This was an absolutely fabulous experience. The outdoor and open indoor seating felt so fresh and airy with a wonderful ethnic feel. You could imagine being on a streets side cafe in some exotic locality. The food was spot on with a wide array of tacos and some specialty dishes. The menu was not extensive, but I felt this lent them to be perfect at the offerings they had. That said, I think there would be something for everyone. We had the queso and some street tacos with the birria and barbacoa really standing out as incredible. I must say the staff was beyond friendly and attentive. As a side note, Tuesday is 2 dollar tacos. Give this place a try!

The atmosphere, food and service was top notch. I walked here two times for meals with my two sons. I stayed at a. Close by Airbnb a few blocks away. I love the outdoor dining as well. The restaurant is a former home turned into a great place to dine. Parking is limited. Next time I am visiting Houma again-I’ll come back. The owner was nice enough to change the tv to the Jaguar football game being played.

We went for lunch on 4/5/23 and I had the taco salad with beef. The “shell” wasn’t a shell but rather a flaky bowl that was neither tasty nor very edible because it just crumbled. There was a huge amount of liquid on the plate (I was told it was from the ground meat). For $13 I expected something a bit more appetizing. Maybe the cook was having an off day.

We ordered guacamole with chips & the avocados were brown. We were the first customers so I’m thinking it wasn’t made today, maybe leftover from last night.

A wonderful, small Mexican cafe nestled off the beaten path in a neighborhood that’s undergoing a bit of rejuvenation. Indoor and outdoor seating. The food is next level and authentic, but served with a gourmet flair. I cannot say enough about this little gem in the heart of Houma.

We has taco dinner on taco Tuesday. Tacos were good but could have been dressed up a bit more. Service was excellent, but should wait till soup finished before bring tacos…as you can see from pic, no more room on table.

Love the atmosphere & food is always great. Today I had shrimp, barbacoa & birria tacos & all were great. Berrian tacos were not too greasy like I’ve had at other places.
