Comfort food in a comfortable environment. We love the place but I can totally understand why not everyone would. This place is not fancy by any means and the food would never win awards, but it’s distinctive and it feels like a “hangout”. It’s family run, by which I mean the owner or his daughter will probably seat and serve you while mom and other family members cook from scratch in the kitchen or hang out at one of the tables handling paperwork or just talking about their day. We noticed that the hot-n-sour soup wasn’t like *all* the others we’ve had and found out that they pickle their own vegetables, just because “that’s the way you do it.”

There food is pretty good. Worth my money. However, I have ordered there for delivery about 10 times now, and I just called 30 min before they close (I like about 5-10 min away), and they said they won’t deliver to me and hung up. How rude! I thought this place was great and would be my exclusive Chinese food restaurant, but this just lost me. They will need to do some redeeming to earn me back as a customer 🙁

I don’t know what happened to the quality of The Dragon House food but from what I remember is it was amazing so now that we live in the area again my husband and I were really looking forward to it. The vegetarian fried rice was very bland, lots of onions, mushrooms, and water chestnuts. Where are the broccoli, carrots, and snap peas? And for the orange chicken we got a very small amount of white rice to go with it. I am very disappointed with our mediocre meal.

The atmosphere: My wife an I went here last night (Feb 21, 2014) because we were getting our tires changed up the road and wanted something within walking distance. Initially it looked like a lot of people were eating so we decided to try it, but once we got inside we realized that there weren’t a lot of people, there was actually only one table with about 8 people at it. At first I thought about just leaving then (most of the time when a restaurant is dead like that, the food isn’t good) and I wish I had, but we decided to try it anyways. the atmosphere was terrible, and our waitress was downright surly. The man answering the phones for pickups was very rude and hung up on people several times right in front of me (see other comments about this sort of thing)

Never visited – just ordered delivery. Food has been tasty the 2 times I have ordered, but the charges are WAY TOO HIGH!!!!!!! I paid $20.00 ( 17.45 for ONE order of potstickers and ONE order of Sweet and Sour Chicken – with a $2.55 tip) for ONE MEAL!!! – And my second order was reduced to “less rice”… Try PHO 79/Caravelle – if you are in the area (and their delivery area is Quite Large) AND NO EXTRA CHARGES! I could have got the Same order for $13.00…+ tip. You can DO Better – food is just as tasty but they don’t hang you up with “additional delivery fees”…Seriously….Live and Learn?

Was on my shift and craved some Chinese food. Was not disappointed with what I got. for about $9 I got myself some Chicken Chow Mein which was a generous portion, Delivered directly to my business in a good amount of time. Would definitely order it again.

I don’t think you guys are talking about the same place. We have been eating at this place for almost 40years. The food is great and the sauces can’t compare to any Chinese Restaurant. I grew up with this family and they are always friendly and nice to deal with.
