We really enjoyed it. All our food was great. We had a group of 10 and he moved tables together for us. Being the only one working, he was very accommodating and quick with our food. Brisket burgers, shrimp po boys, and chicken strips were all enjoyed by our party.

My family and I were driving out west from Chicago. We started looking for a place to get some lunch. Rodney’s Kitchen came up as a place that we should try. IT WAS NOT DISAPPOINTING! Walked in a immediately greeted by Rodney with a smile and friendly face. He took the time to Anwser our questions and recommendations of the menu. We went with his recommendation and it was amazing. We had shrimp po’ boy, brisket burger and the smoke pork sandwich. The smoke pork sandwich was the best pork sandwich I had in my life. Honestly everything was delicious. We would drive from Chicago to eat at Rodney’s Kitchen again.

Stopped in while on a road trip from Illinois to West Iowa. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and a house margarita. The sandwich was very good with tasty fixings to accomodate. The fries have a DELICIOUS house seasoning on them. I am a very picky out-of-town diner and this place really pleased me. The margarita was good too.

First time trying this place!! Let me tell you the food was ABSOLUTELY BANGING!!! I got the double cheeseburger and my fiance got the brisket burger!! Wasn’t anything left in either box (we got takeout). The food made it to the clean plate club! Hands down best burger in town!! Rodney can throw down!!

OMGeeee! What good home cooked comfort food!! The fish and chicken were lightly breaded and so good. I am not a greens fan, but Rodney’s greens alone are worth the trip to Waterloo!! Affordable prices. Top notch customer service. I can’t wait to go back!!
