Boy did I love this place! Decided to try this time I went thru Port Jervis and I was not dissapointed! Very quaint deli with three tables, full deli and specialty foods. Had a couple dogs with AMAZING home made kraut which were great. Sampled the German Potato salad and mac salad which were both outstanding. Brought all three home for the family along with some other goodies! Had to try the home made peach cheesecake….I’ll be getting it again. BEST of all were the employees. All were very helpful, kind, and explained things well. You can tell they appreciate their customers! Next time I’m up in Port J I know where I’ll be having lunch!

We called an order in and by mistake the ticket was lost, so the sandwich wasn’t ready. To make up for the mistake the gentleman bought our lunch. Excellent customer service. We had a delicious pastrami on rye with sides of pickled beets and coleslaw. A solid old school deli.

Had the daily special which was cheese pierogi’s, polish kielbasa with homemade sauerkraut, rye bread and butter, side salad, drink and sour cream. Very reasonably priced at $8.25 and all was nothing short of awesome!!!

I ordered the roasted turkey club sandwich and I brought home a few knish for my wife, she said it was the best she had ever had. And yes my hero was absolutely amazing will recommend and will continue to go there.

Called to place an order. They were busy which is more than okay. However, the man who answers was incredibly rude! He said “ yeah like I said we’re backed up so do you wanna order or not” in the nastiest tone. I will never order again… customer service is always first!
