I have wanted to stop here and check this place out for awhile now. Finally we did and I’m very pleased that we did. It smells so good when you walk through the door. We ordered cheeseburgers and I add onion rings. The serve them dry and have a bar with everything you could want for your burger so you make them the way you like them and they have a nice hot pot of pinto beans that you can help yourself to. I highly recommend and I plan to return on my next trip to Huntsville and try some BBQ.

Bought dinner a 2 meat plate and chicken strip plate both so over cooked it is hard to eat. Mac n cheese cold and watery. For dinner for 2 at almost $40. Expect it to be at least edible. They need an option for NO stars

We had a great experience for lunch. Pulled pork and sliced pork sandwiches were large, tender and tasty. Coleslaw- vinegar style was a larger than typical serving and very good. Beans were in a large shared, serve yourself, all you can eat pot. Total price was $24 with tip. Ordered at the counter with lots of areas to sit down.

Food was good. The service at the register was mediocre, maybe new, but ordered a basket off the menu and was told something different than what the menu said as far as a side and drink. She really didn’t seem to want to be there. My biggest problem was the cleanliness of the whole restaurant. Everything was just dirty. Flies everywhere, floor was so sticky, womens bathroom had the ceiling falling in, faucet was just about broken off in there. Really disappointed.

Ribs were good as usual but I was so desapointed with the Chicken Fried Chicken, it was an small piece of Fried Chicken smaller than Popeyes and with two sides for $13, thank God a cook felt bad about me and showed up with two Old Chicken Tenders that saved my Dinner but over all, very desapointed….

The chopped brisket sandwich was cold without any bar-b-que sauce, even though I asked for sauce. The potato salad was UNEDIBLE!! This was the McKenzie’s in Huntsville. The customer service is non-existent! The McKenzie’s in Conroe is the Best!! Totally different from Huntsville.
