Okay ya’ll, full disclosure: I am an employee at Julep (though I’m writing this off the clock). But let me tell you, I am having a genuine emotional reaction to the Catfish Dinner. Sometimes a good meal in a nice environment just makes you feel so present and hopeful. I’ve been eating the food here several times a week for nearly two years and I’m still not tired of it; even if I didn’t work here I’d 100% recommend (and sometimes employees are the hardest ones to impress). Knowing that this place treats me and my coworkers well makes it taste all the better. Come see us sometime and say hi!

I try to come here at least twice a month for the wonderful food, top notch cocktails and lovely staff. Great place for date night, a casual lunch/ dinner, a celebration, or even a night of live music which they have often. 21 and older, so no kiddos. Leave them at home and enjoy one of the best eateries in Kittitas County. 10/10 hands down.

Food was good; catfish nuggets were cooked well, but could use more seasoning or spice, burger and tots tasted great. Wait staff were excellent, but it took F O R E V E R to get our food. Not sure if the kitchen was understaffed, if so then tables should be blocked off so that it limits the number of customers so it doesn’t impact service. If they’re just slow, then they gotta speed it up, I was ready to walk out.

My friends and I went to Julep based on good experiences of a couple of the friends. We arrived shortly after 11am on a Saturday and there was hardly anyone there, which would seem to suggest we would get served quickly. Instead, while they were fairly prompt at taking drink and appetizer orders, it ended up being probably an hour before they took our lunch order. During that time, lots more folks came in, so maybe we got lost in the crowd, but it just shouldn’t have taken that long!

We stopped in here for Sunday lunch on the way back from The Gorge. Despite having a much busier day than they must have been expecting, the staff were friendly, attentive, and offered great menu suggestions. The food arrived quickly and we enjoyed everything we ordered – the cauliflower bites, fried green tomatoes, shrimp po boy, fried catfish, and chicken sandwich particularly stood out.

Came here for date night yesterday and it was absolutely fantastic, Hailey took care of us and was delightful. Had the biscuits and fried pickles to start, absolutely great job frying them. They were light and crispy and I didn’t get the heavy feeling you can get from fried apps. My wife had the soup and salad and I got the chicken sandwich with the fried pickles on it as well. Honey and hot sauce on the side and the honey was alright, hot sauce wasn’t anything special but it was good all around. Let’s talk about the breading on the fried chicken. It was awesome! Same thing – light and crispy! Their old fashioned was awesome and they lived up to the best of kittitas County award from 2022, absolutely would recommend and we will be back!

The food tasted good, but the salad I ordered had multiple items missing from what the menu said it had. The service was on the slow side, but they were all friendly. The desert was also missing a key ingredient that I had to go hunt down as well. Lastly and the biggest issue is the food did not set well with us at all. We both had to make several trips to the restroom. It’s to bad, I had such high hopes.
