Had a great lunch at this location and found out this was there 2nd location they opened after the first store down on Chickasaw. Love there salsa and honestly everything they have ever served has been great. Took a friend because she has been wanting to try there Tortilla soup and she said it was very good. Will not hesitate to come back and if you are looking for a Mexican restaurant in Lake Mary then this is the place. Ask for Lily and get great service.

Don Julio’s does everything right, from the second you walk in you are greeted by the kind staff and the place always smells great, like fresh food and a clean restaurant. There are many new additions to their menu, including the puerco al chile (roasted pork belly in sweet and spicy sauce,) milanesa maya (breaded chicken,) chismosa salad (quinoa salad,) birria taquitos, and more! The service is always quick and top notch. If you haven’t tried Don Julio’s, you must give them a try! They offer lunch specials during the weekdays, brunch on the weekends (including bottomless mimosas, sangrias, and margaritas!) I promise, you won’t regret it.

Seated promptly, no wait. Clean. It took a few minutes for Jorge to get to us and take our order. Food arrived in a fair amount of time. We ordered the chimichanga plates ($12.99). The drink prices are basically $3.50 each unless you’re ordering alcohol or water. Food flavor was a bit flat tasting. I was glad to have gotten a side of hot sauce. The rice was really good. The atmosphere was that of a chain store.

First time visiting this location on my vacay! When I tell you this is an authentic Mexican restaurant… believe it. Scene was set the moment we walked in. Greeted immediately and sat down at a table shortly after. Our waitress was Daniella and she was very attentive to our needs. We started off with complementary chips and salsa. Homemade! We ordered a side of Queso dip. Appetizers were street corn. I had the passion fruit margarita and Birria Taco. My daughter had the chicken Don Julio bowl that was delicious. Will definitely come visit again when back in the area of Lake Mary!

Worst Mexican food. Ordered door dash pick up. The Chile’s were not cooked, beans are clearly from a can, rice is bland, chicken is laughable at best, forgot the steak etc. probably the worst Mexican food I’ve had in years. Don’t know if it’s because I ordered pick up but it was also ice cold. Do not recommend. No idea why it has any good reviews. Once again maybe because it’s a door dash pick up they cut corners idk. But total garbage. Yuck. Salsa was good at least

The food is absolutely amazing. When I was going towards the restroom, the manager or owner grabbed the door for me and made sure there was enough room for my walker. The staff was very nice and the non alcoholic drinks are great. The pomegranate drink is a must. I might ask to mix with lemonade next time just because the thought sounds amazing, but you won’t be dissapointed at all. Great for families, dates, and great for a lunch break with how the food came out in a really good time.
