The Across The Street Pub was opened in 1973 and has continuously been in business for nearly 50 years. The atmosphere is casual and the bar and dining room can accommodate over 120 people on any given night. We proudly continue to serve the Capital District with quality pub grub and strive to maintain a high level of customer service as has been the Pub’s tradition.
We offer an extensive menu that has many options for all who patronize our establishment. Our wings, burgers, flatbread pizzas, and custom salads are favorites and give people variety to choose. Our beer selection also balances domestic, import, and craft beers. There is something for everyone.

During our recent overnight getaway to Albany, my wife and I chose to dine at Across the Street Pub, largely influenced by its prime location and rave reviews. To our delight, it turned out to be the highlight dining experience of 2023 for us. Great neighborhood bar, good food, and most of all, the most awesome chicken wings. For me, one of the toughest things is to get chicken wings that are done extra Krispy. You may ask for them that way. But rally. Are they as crispy as I like? This place knows how to do crispy chicken wings. They are incredible, awesome, and probably some of the best that I’ve had.. They have lots of other food.

Went for the first time this week. Met a buddy for a few beers and just order 3 types of finger food to share. The pile of nachos would have been enough for both of us. But we added mozzarella sticks and 10 wings to the order. Everything was good, and no way could we finish. The price was very reasonable and the service was very good.

I’ve been going with my girlfriend who turned into my wife for 28 years now. The most consistent wing recipe in Albany. Period. Waitstaff is dynamite and the bartender has been there since day one. Friendly place for drinks with friends or kids. Fries are great and Tuesday wing special is worth the visit alone.

Loved loved loved this pub! We visited on a Friday night while staying locally on our way back to Canada. Such a cool place! The atmosphere was lovely, the service was so friendly and quick, and the food was fantastic! I knew it was going to be good when we walked up and there were a couple of kitchen staff having a smoko on the side steps. They greeted us and gave us the widest smiles, it was so nice. From the outside, this place looks kinda weird, like nothing much. Inside is the total opposite. Yes, it could probably do with a bit of reno etc but none of that had any effect on the positive experience we had. It made me want to spend more time in Albany actually, there was a cool, friendly, relaxed vibe. The food was so well priced, four of us had huge meals we couldn’t finish plus drinks and appetizers and it was only about $70. If we’re ever out that way again, we’ll be sure to return!

Great food, service and prices. Outdoor seating available, but it was too hot the day we went to eat outside. We did have to walk up a flight of stairs to get inside. Not sure if they have other accessibility or not. Parking looked limited, but not bad during slow times.

Bartender was outstanding – polite, fast, followed up, friendly, and made great suggestions! Food was great – homemade chili with onions and cheese added, house salad with Cajun chicken added. Dive bar scene with a good group of locals (assuming since the Bartender allied them by their first names and knew their drink orders before they sat down).
