Finally planned an evening to try this place, at the recommendation of many friends and neighbors. Ambiance is cozy and comfortable, and the food is phenomenal, as well as reasonably priced compared to similar local restaurants. The filet and duck are both phenomenal. Portion sizes are quite large, too. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back soon.

Amazing food and service in a beautiful quaint restaurant on Magazine st. The yellowfin Tuna was cooked to perfection and the apple salad was delicious. This place is an excellent hidden gem!

We had reservations for 7 people following a wedding ceremony, and I’m so glad it was here! The restaurant is small enough to feel intimate, but the tables are spaced well enough too still give the impression of privacy. Also, I’ve never been more impressed with service. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and everyone was very kind. Finally, the food was the best we had in New Orleans. The whole group was so impressed and happy with the food. Since I have no critiques, I’ll just share what we had: several of us got espresso throughout the meal, and for appetizers we ordered the smoked salmon mousse, lump crab, and escargot as appetizers. For entrées we had the filet of beef, the yellowfin tuna, and the black drum special. For dessert we had the creme brûlée, baked alaska, tangerine sorbet, and the berry cobbler. Then, the staff brought out a hazelnut ice cream with candles in it for the happy couple. Finally, as we were leaving they gave each of us some celebratory champagne.

Extraordinary restaurant. Difficult to say which is more perfect: the food, service, or environment. Food and presentation are timeless and remarkably understated. One of the best things is how each bite, and even each course, seems to complement one another. A meal here is like reading a favorite novel. Each piece folds into every other piece, so at the end, you’re left with a picture of something totally beautiful, creative, and artistic. Also, very low-key and rather free of tourists. Don’t fuss too much over what to order. I’ve never eaten anything less than exceptional.

My wife and I met with another couple for dinner at Bistro Daisy on Saturday night. While waiting for our dinners to be prepared, one member of the party had a medical emergency. The owner, her daughter, our waiter and other Bistro Daisy staff members were extraordinarily kind and helpful. The EMS staff arrived very quickly but I’m afraid their presence was disruptive for other diners. Happily, our friend responded well to emergency care and is now home and well. His wife, as well as my wife and I are very grateful for all that was done by everyone at Bistro Daisy to help during the emergency.

This restaurant is in a converted small house in the Uptown neighborhood. The ambience is perfect, the service is meticulous and the food is delicious. I had the lamb shank and my wife had the trout and both were simply perfect. I ended with a well made cappuccino and she had a tea service that was done just right. This place is a gem.
