Grille 254’s name is inspired by the longest held PGA tournament record score of 254 shot by Tommy Armour III at La Cantera Resort Course in 2003. Over the four days of the Valero Texas Open, Tommy awed spectators as he set a 14-year PGA tournament record, and until 2017, his 72-hole total score was held as the highest tournament score in PGA history.
Grille 254 celebrates his accomplishment and the game of golf by merging La Cantera Resort & Spa’s culinary talent with a classic sports bar experience in the ever growing Northwest San Antonio corridor. Patrons can expect scratch food offerings, a full bar and craft cocktail menu, and 24 beers on tap to cool off after a round of golf, or unwind after a day in the office.

Everything is absolutely perfect for a chill happy hour. Service, staff, and food were all wonderful. The only downfall at the time was low on beer selection due to vendor issues. The next time we went, all the tap beer was out. Next time we’ll call ahead…because we really enjoy the place.

We ate lunch here on our first day staying on the property. The food was good. We especially enjoyed their wings, fries, and burger. Nicole, the manager and our waitress was very friendly and wanted to ensure we enjoyed our visit at their restaurant. They were very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely return on a future visit.

When we arrived there were 3 seated tables. Waited 35 minutes for food. The burger was great , fries where cold. Service was meh . Two burgers 50 bucks in a high end resort. When I mentioned my concern for the cold fries I got apologies and “it’s not usually this packed” 4-5 tables seated by this time ?You can get great burgers at lots of places so it’s no for me.

Wedge salad was terrible, burger was ok, onion rings were way over cooked, no onion left and the mustard for the pretzel was bland and lacking flavor. Service seemed low staffed for a Saturday. Had to go pick up my own beer from the bar.
