The food is so good!! The chicken was perfect and falling off the bone. The catfish breading was so very tasty. And the sides were extremely delicious. We also tried the fried pickles and they were the best I’ve ever had. I definitely recommend Ms Kims!! We also spoke with Ms Kim and she is so sweet!! We will for sure be coming back soon. We loved all of it. Edit: We also got cheesecake and it is mouth watering!!

Ms. Kim is so awesome. When she has time she comes out to visit with her customers making them feel as if they are guests in her home. The greens are to die for if you’re a collard greens lover like I am. The food overall is excellent.

Long wait, but worth it since food comes out piping hot, plenty to eat, and get full off of. I had the pleasure to meet Ms Kim, the owner. After I received my food, I let her know that I was part of Black Diamond Journey (BDJ) and was reviewing the restaurant, she was excited to hear about our start up.

If you want fried chicken, this is great, BUT understand that it doesn’t fry fast – remember how long it took Gramma to fry her chicken! So, please, be patient and wait or call in ahead instead of creating a tense atmosphere because your chicken isn’t ready in 10 minutes. Order a 3 piece so you have chicken to take home. Btw, the greens are a great side. Cornbread is tasty and tender with corn in it. Green beans are flavored like Gramma used to make. Fried pickles for an appetizer! Tea refills are usually automatic, but ask if they are busy.

Ms. Kim’s serves up the best fried chicken out there, bar none! The fried pickles are also to die for, not to mention fried okra and fried fish. I spent my childhood in Central Missouri and Ms. Kim’s is a must-eat every time I go back to visit my hometown. Her location may have moved from Columbia to Fulton but the same cozy atmosphere, service with a smile, and soul-soothing food have remained the same. Don’t overlook this gem if you’re in the area, and no matter what you fancy from the menu, just don’t forget to try the fried chicken 😉
