Ramen for me is a 5/10 – so I wouldn’t come back for that particular menu item—like really, half an egg for a $16 bowl of ramen? Broth was good, but nothing to boast about. The sushi roll was decent, but wasn’t a fan of the sauce they added on top. The star of the show was the gyozos—probably one the the best I’ve had in a while.

I’ve been here many times. Absolutely love this spot! The poke bowls are so fresh, healthy, and delicious. Sushi is amazing. Ramen is delicious. Service is fast and courteous. It’s all just so fresh and made with love. Happy to have a place like this in St. Johns!

Had the one veggie ramen option, the Super Veggie Ramen. Nice to have an option, but it was pretty bland. I liked that the broth is a bit creamy, and the pickled mushrooms were great, I just wish there was more flavor, umami, maybe a spicy option. In Japan I went to some ramen shops that had various sprinkles and toppings to add at the table to customize. Curry powder, vinegar, fried garlic, ground sesame seeds, etc.

We had the Spicy Cashu with extra pork belly…. I’m sure you’ll love it portion is ideal but if you’re starving you’ve probably end up ordering one more…. thanks Mikasa.

First off, customer service was a 10/10. Our ramen noodles came out a little mushy/undercooked. They were quick to correct it and even game us 2 plates of complimentary Gyoza. Tonkatsu was great—the pork belly was very tender and flavorful. It’s a cute little hole in the wall sushi & ramen place and it’s quite delicious. Could make availability of spices available but otherwise I’d definitely come back! Thanks so much again for the great service!

Hands down the best sushi I’ve had ever!! The rolls were inventive, fresh, and delicious!! I had a peach sake that was equally unexpectedly delicious! Chill atmosphere, counter service but speedy. Now I have to drive to St. John’s for my sushi fix.. oh well, it’s worth it!

Wow, Mikasa, what are you guys doing? You’ve been my favorite ramen spot in Portland for years, but the ramen I had today was bland, the spicy bomb wasn’t really spicy or flavorful, and you’ve changed your karrage chicken. It used to be perfectly fried legs coated in that delicious sauce, now it’s overcooked chicken bites. I hope this is just temporary and you’re able to return to your former glory soon!

Don’t attempt to order through the website. Glitchy, says it rejects payment and then, confusingly, sends payment confirmation email. Then when you show up at the restaurant expecting to pick up your dinner, the person behind the counter will sneer mockingly and be catty and you will leave with no dinner and feeling a little scorned.

We got 2 orders of tonkatsu ramen mine was low mid-quality. My husband’s was inedible. His noodles fell apart & tasted like raw flour? Both pork bellies tasted like very dry pork loin.
