One of my favorite old fashioned drive in restaurants. Set directly across from the Akron airport, driving up for a meal at sunset to watch the planes come and go is a treat that can’t be beat. While you’re enjoying the flight show, sit back in your car, relax and sip on a homemade milkshake, with flavors ranging from root beer to cherry. Follow that with a large menu selection of burgers, dogs and appetizers. I love the double cheese with everything, and my husband loves the western burger. Fries are crisp and golden, and my personal favorite is the fried pickles. The mushrooms are also tasty. Remember to leave enough time for service and to enjoy the fantastic view.

Stopped in tonight for burgers and fried mushrooms. I specifically asked the waitress to have the mushrooms fried hard. What I got was a mouth full of batter when I got to my home five minutes away. The burgers were dry and appeared to be just slapped together on slightly burnt buns.

Good drive thru food, price seams on point with similar diners (A&W, Swenson…etc…) taste about the same as well. I was surprised with them having A1 sauce as an option. Some of the side proportions seamed off, like my mushrooms was small while my buddy’s motz sticks where very big. Overall first exp there and was enjoyable.

Always a good meal. There was only one car hop last time, so service was a tad slow, but she did a great job of trying to keep up. We do not fault her, and it will not be enough to prevent our return !

Not a long wait time. Curtious employees. Dilly burger is the best and the onion rings were perfect. Yummy

I’ve been coming here for years at least once a month even the cold sometimes 3 times a week I always get the same thing for some reason my bill was 4 dollars more then usual and my drink was 30-40oz smaller I also noticed new staff did she add a tip to my bill or something and what’s going on with the drinks I normally tip 50% but I wasn’t sure what was happening so I only gave her 2 bucks

Not what this place use to be. Should have known by the lack of cars there at dinner time. Food was terrible, and crazy expensive. Apparently everyone had gotten the memo already but the lack of business. This place will be gone within a year

The last 2 Sundays I’ve drove over an hour to visit family and stopped in because one I use to work here years ago when the rubber bowl was still intact. This place was booming always packed, I’ve always loved the food because it was better than Swenson’s, now they have a girl running the curb service that’s small , looks about 13 and is very rude and nasty, she never smiles, or greets you, she brings your food out assuming you want it to go just to get her money and hopefully a tip… This last time I had it with the attitude and spoke with the owner, whom I feel bad for because he seems to be a good guy with horrible help, and the food has the potential of being great if cooked and served with care!! With that being said I will be in Akron to visit family and will drive by if I see that the girl who is dragging this business down is still employed here I will continue driving knowing that the owner is closing his business down soon, because with employees who don’t care if it closes, neither do the customers. I do hope he turns it around, because of the now hiring, just don’t hire kids, that’s my opinion.
