One of the best pizzerias I’ve ever eaten at! It is fresh, delicious, and unmistakably Italian. The Owner Carmine is the absolute best! He’s a true born and raised Italian immigrate who is proud to bring traditional brick oven cooking techniques from the old world to his new home in New Jersey. And you can really taste the love and experience in every pie. The only Italian brick oven style pizza I’ve ever had that comes close is Lombardi’s in NYC (the First American Pizzeria). But Buonocore’s is better!

My friend has been telling me for over a year that I had to check out this pizza place…man I’m glad I did! I’ve been to Italy a bunch and this is as close to what I’ve had over there! The pie toppings are varied, from traditional to modern north Jersey. The owner is a great guy from Naples who lives and breathes the craft. The mozz and sausage among other things are made in house. You won’t be disappointed!

My family and I went to Buonocore’s Brick Oven Pizza yesterday and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere feels very welcoming and familiar, and the chef is excellent. All of the food is cooked with wood, which is a nice touch. The restaurant itself is small, but cozy. We especially loved watching the chef cook our meal and seeing everything happening right before our eyes. He even had direct contact with us and made our visit extra enjoyable. I am certain that I will be returning to this restaurant, and have already recommended it to my friends. Overall, Buonocore’s Brick Oven Pizza is a must-try for anyone looking for great food in a friendly atmosphere

Kind of a hole in the wall. I really wanted a slice of pizza but they don’t sell it by the slice there. I ended up with an Italian sub on their homemade bread which was really good. I enjoyed the sandwich . I may or may not return. They have brick oven pizza so I may have to try it.

Food was delicious, the pizzas were excellent, home made thin crust cooked in an authentic wood burning oven, and the chicken marsala was great, sause not too thin, not too thick but just right and full of flavor.

Definitely one of the best pizzerias in Passaic County! The woodfire oven gave the crust a delicious char. The homemade mozzarella was quite good too. The only downside was the tomato sauce which I believe could have been seasoned a little more.

This is not your regular pizza parlor, rather an artisan pizzaria! Neoplitan style pizza is rare in NJ and this place is the only one in the area who makes it and the make it right! Brick oven and wood fire. To my experience this is the closest to the pizza you’d get in Italy! The service is great as well, very kind folks and prices are reasonable. Am glad their in my backyard! If you’re a real pizza enthusiast you got to come and try it!

The staff is warm and friendly here and the food tastes awesome. Just wish half- portions were available so I could finish the delicious penne bolognese I ordered in one sitting. A roaring brick oven sets the ambience perfectly and i look forward to enjoying a pizza here in the future. Also love the log stacks for the oven – really quaint and authentic. The bolognese sauce is rich and great for scooping up with the bread roll. I plan to bring my mother here one day to experience a real Italian bistro right here in our town.
