Truly exceptional! From the ambiance to the food to the drinks and service, our omakase experience was top-notch. It’s more traditional/authentic Japanese than what you’ll find at Sushi Bar in Montecito (which is also very yummy), but still has a flair of fun to it. Chef Kentaro Ikuta was engaging and answered all of our questions about the various courses, which made the meal all that much more special.

Very nice place to chat or have fun. However, the food here do not match the price. Arigato, Yoichi, Sushi by Scratch offer better food with less . All in all, don’t come here for the food.

Ama Sushi is, simply put, extraordinary. My family and I have been visiting the Rosewood Miramar since it opened, and the resort/ambiance is spectacular. Ama’s ambiance is as upscale and lovely as the resort. Plus, the sushi is world class. Chef Ken delivered a spectacular omakase experience. The fish and attention to detail could not be more unparalleled. You would think you’re in Tokyo. 10/10.
