Ate here two days in a row during my stay on Mt. Desert Island. First day I tried the lobster roll (requested no lettuce), it was excellent and the roll was nice and soft. Fries were great. Next day I had the sampler, the chicken, pulled pork, and ribs were great but my favorite was the sausage despite not being a fan of spicy foods. The mac & cheese also had a spicy kick I didn’t care for but was otherwise excellent. You won’t go wrong stopping here.

Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. We had the pulled pork and the sampler with a side of Mac and cheese. The chicken and ribs were really good. Pulled pork was okay. All of their meats have a dry rub. They have sweet BBQ sauce at all the tables and offer a spicy sauce, too. The Mac and cheese had some fresh cheese on top that added some nice salt to it. The cornbread we had was a bit dry. There was live music outside when we were here on Monday night. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. They also have highchairs. (For patrons with babies, the bathroom I went to did not have a changing table.) There is a parking lot that was full when we got there but we got a spot after waiting for a few minutes.

Take Out Order-Full rack of Ribs with Mac & Cheese, side order of smoked chicken wings. Everything was delicious, ribs prepared perfectly. Probably among best ribs (Quality, Quantity and cooked to perfection) I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommended! We’ll be back!!

I’ve been to Carolina, Texas, and KC, and honestly, the meats at this place rank. The wings in particular were some of the best to grace my taste, so don’t miss ‘em jumping to the mains. The sauce and sides could use improvement; they’re okay, but don’t really elevate the meal (try mixing their spicy and sweet sauces for best combo). Good service, good space, good drinks… and the whole meal was the cost of a lobster roll. Drop the fish, hit this dish.

Unbelievably good BBQ. From Texas, I was fully prepared to nitpick the dishes and sides, but I swear this was as good or better than most BBQ I’ve had in Texas. Ribs fell off the bone, so succulent. Pulled pork was perfect. I almost never order chicken, but theirs was top notch. The sausage was different than in Texas (no jalapenos, more Italian spiciness), but just as good. And the sides were so solid too: mac and cheese, potato salad, even the cole slaw was on point.

Really nice place to dine. Unlike most of MDI their prices are reasonable. Very cozy outside seating and a cornhole set up for you to enjoy. Pulled Turkey sandwich was okay, I wish it had some vegetables, but their coleslaw helped with that. My friend enjoyed their pork ribs.

Maybe it’s because I was hungry or maybe it’s because it was just great, but this was some of the best barbecue that I’ve ever had. The sausage was so good and the chicken had a delicious, smoked flavor that was incredible even before I drowned it in sauce.

We are not seafood fans so this was a great stop on our trip to Mt Desert Island. The service was great and the food was very tasty. We had the sampler, pulled pork, and ribs and they were all delicious. The atmosphere was excellent, with an option to sit outside and the day we were there they had live music. The parking lot can get packed fast and there may be a wait, but I think it’s worth it.
