After reading reviews and being recommended by friends who’d visited earlier today, we were surprised at how underwhelming Pappy’s was. The pizza was okay (flavor wasn’t bad but not something I’d go out of my way for, and they were not cut very well so it was a bit tough to piece out) but nothing I’d rave about. The restaurant was a mess – no ice in the soda machine, dirty tables, liquid spilled on the floor. I’m guessing they were really busy? Regardless, we were disappointed and wished we’d have stuck with our original plans for dinner elsewhere.

Happy Pappy’s is amazing. We were on a trip from GA and stopped in for dinner. Delicious pizza, everyone is friendly and I can not explain how good the dessert is. I have never eaten a dessert like that before and it was so good!!! If you are in Durango you must stop here!

Super delicious! Best pizza and wings we’ve had in eons! And they have green chile! Being from New Mexico, that’s a must! The mango habanero wings were fantastic; epically sauced! And dipping the bread sticks in hot pepper oil was so good with parmesan and red pepper flakes mixed in. And the kicker? Zuber Fizz on tap! My favorite soda on the planet!

This place is amaaaaaaazing. The pizza is ridiculously good and reasonably priced. We fed the whole crew (2 grownups 2 kids) for under $50. The beer taps on the wall are a good deal, too. Quick and friendly service, so when we’re back in town, we’ll definitely be back.

Durango Hampton Inn
These guys make wonderful pizza. BUT you have to specifically ask for pizza sauce or they won’t put it on the pizza you order. It was surprising to us to place an order for simple pizzas and they came with no sauce. They refused to fix the issue and told us it was our fault for not letting them know that we wanted pizza sauce on our PIZZA. Customer service is severely lacking but the pizza is yummy… Even without the sauce.

Great food, Great Service! We stopped by with a large group (16 hungry teenagers). We are from out of state playing in a basketball tournament. Wait time was not bad at all. I wish we would have gotten his name, but cashier came to check on us frequently. He made sure we were comfortable and happy. And we had the most delicious dessert! Highly recommend. Our boys were full and satisfied by the time we left. Thank you!
