This place felt nice. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The food was homemade and very good. Yes it took a little time to get our food but that is because they made it fresh when we ordered it. Not like the chain restaurants. I will go back if in the area.

I used to come here almost weekly in high school and it was amazing. Great food and great service. But the last several months it has really has gone down hill. I used to be able to get my food, eat and be gone in 25 minutes. The service was so slow we considered paying for our drinks and leaving. Today it took almost 40 minutes to get cold ham, luke warm hash browns and eggs. My friend got french toast without syrup, which they said was ok. The biscuits and gravy were also ok but cukd be better. They had forgotten my toast and the picture is what I recieved. The “toast” was very floppy and not hard at all, it fell apart upon picking it up. The butter was still hard and just lobbed on top. I tried to spread the butter but it didnt work out. I’m not sure if it is under new management or if they simply do not care anymore. The old staff was much better. I only went to use up a gift card before this restaurant goes out of business. Overall I was very displeased with the food mainly, I hope they can turn it around.

Good lunch spot. Diner food. I have been a regular lunch patron for 2 1/2 years. A calm place to relax during lunch. Local owned & operated. Typical diner servers. Quirky, friendly, busy. Ask about any specials and they won’t tell you. Ask or insist for the small blue card that shows the specials, which is missing from some of the inserts on the tables. The best bet on the card is a big turkey SANDWICH which comes made with homemade bread and chips, bowl of homemade CHILI & a DRINK for $6.99. Other good favorites: roast, meatloaf & of course the french toast. Negative: French fries are awful. You can eat a hamburger anywhere, please try one of the items I mentioned. Sometimes you have to speak up for a refill or follow up service.

I believe after traveling around the country that I can say that this was the best restaurant I’ve been in for a long time. Today it’s hard to find mom and pop shop to eat at. Everything has gotten to fast and the big companies have taken the local mom and pop shops out if business. It’s a shame that the world has gotten to busy to stop and smell the coffee and eat some where that puts the love in food.

A nice restaurant is an ironic title. Be prepared to sacrifice good service for an above average meal. You won’t be pleased with the service but the food is pretty good. I have eaten here probably 50 plus and have never had a good experience with their waitresses. Best bread in town. Try the FrenchToast! You will come to a Nice restaurant again also!!!

they’ve really dropped the ball.. during a recent visit, myself and a neighbor stopped by for breakfast, apparently they were short staffed with only a cook present in the kitchen. guests were seated at two other tables, the cook brought us coffee, took our order and returned to the kitchen to prepare food for the other tables, we watched as each order was placed within the pass-through window, he quickly delivered the hot food to the other guests, we were patient considering the circumstances. When our food was placed on the pass-through window, the cook apparently was distracted, took a look at my watch, told my guest I pray that isn’t our food sitting there getting cold, after waiting 10 minutes, still waiting, at the 15 minute mark, we hear a ladies voice in the kitchen, apparently the staff had finally arrived. Foods still sitting in the window, when she finally appears from the kitchen she continues to go about her business, neglecting to deliver our now cold breakfasts sitting in the window, we had to get her attention to even receive it! Ah yes, COLD scrambled eggs must be a new fad I refuse to accept, stale biscuits sitting with a side of tepid gravy, cold, partially cooked potatoes with crunchy raw interior. When we mentioned our cold food to the lady, she was quick to bring over a buy 1 get 1 free business card, instead of offering to at least warm our food up! basically, we paid $20.00 for two cups of coffee! unacceptable!

The food is good and a great value! I got an egg, bacon, cheese sandwich for $3.50 that was bigger and better than anything you’d get at a fast food restaurant. They are not quick though so sit back and enjoy your coffee!
