Let me tell yall something. I really didnt want to do this review simply because I’m selfish when it comes to good eatin! This isn’t just a hidden gem this is a secret location for people to eat like there is no tomorrow. The staff is the greatest! The food is hot delicious and abundant. My wife and I ate leftovers til Tuesday! I was a bit upset I couldn’t finish in one sitting! Try it all and you will not be disappointed!

This soul food really hit the spot!! I got smothered chicken with potatoes, mac n cheese, candied yams and corn bread…all for $9. Everything was really yummy, I finished all but the bones. It’s also very filling! I will definitely visit again to try other items.

A hidden gem and a great place to get some homemade soulfood..it’s tucked away off of Hwy 85.. the portion size for the price is great! Everything was seasoned well…my son had the fried chicken & said it was flavorful & fried just how he likes. The employees were friendly & the line moved fast. It’s small on the inside but would definitely recommend them over waiting in a drive thru line around the corner…Overall, we will definitely be back.

Ok. Hear this. If you want to discover one of the best kept community secrets in Riverdale, then this is the place for you to try. This restaurant is tucked away . You may need Google or call ahead to place your order and simply ask for directions. Generally, my husband and I would share a plate when we try a place for the first time. Not this time. Everything looked so fresh and delicious, We were enticed to get separate plates. This is Soul Food yall. We received so much food. The plates were so heavy in the bag when we walked out the door. OMG . We had two extra plates leftover after we pigged out. Lord have mercy. Did I mention they cater. Oh, THANKSGIVING right around the corner. I got the BBQ chicken and Turkey Wing meals, I have to say I was terribly disappointed based on the great reviews I saw. The plates were a great size, you get a great portion of food but the quality was eh… The sides were a bit flavorless, and the meat was just okay. Idk. First time eating here on yesterday June 2. My friend said you get a lot for your money and the food is really good. When we pulled up there I was little skeptical…Didn’t look like much from the outside, but when I got my food it was sooo good, seasoned well but not much and was so much it made two meals. I ordered the turkey wing with dressing and cranberry sauce and for my sides I got green beans and yams, and a corn bread, all for $6.50. The employees were nice and friendly. Do not miss out on this little treasure. There is not a huge selection but enough to get some good choices. Its best to do take out because there are only two small tables if you try to eat there.

Brown’s Soul Food is a hit and miss. First, they have the same menu everyday. Today I order the pot roast and it was dry, was not seasoned well. Now, their Smothered chicken, smothered pork, turkey wings, and the remaining of their dishes are okay. The black-eye peas tastes like my Mom, the dressing seems to be always burt on the top, the Ox tails are over cook and the meat is off the bone so the meat is at the bottom of the pan, but if you like your Ox tails like that than go for it.
