We had Manuel as our server for a table of 7 people. Amazing service with a smile! Food was delicious with live music. Manuel got us everything we asked for and with a smile! Served us endless mimosas and coffee. Manuel had a good knowledge of the menu and gave us great service! Will definitely be coming back!

We love the quality and selection of this brunch, but would have appreciated a bit better service for the price. Brought six adults and had to make repeated requests for beverages. Still, there is something about the historical significance of this place that makes you relax and appreciate your surroundings and the luxury of this beautiful locale.

We have been coming to the Sunday morning brunch at the Del for the last 25 years. It has always been a highlight for trips to San Diego. The breadth, presentation and the quality of the food was always astounding. However, having spent $100+ per adult today, I was overwhelmingly disappointed with the experience. Although some of the food that was offered tasted good, some items like lemonade are now syrup-based drinks from the soda fountain. Hot chocolate tastes like powder mixed with water. The presentation and the variety has also dropped significantly since we were here a few years ago. There used to be chocolate fountains with strawberries, fresh honeycomb and cheese selections, fresh baked deserts, and huge paella spreads that were visually stunning and delectable. Now, the selection, display and presentation is pedestrian and the chocolate fountain has been replaced by a cotton candy machine. You pay more and get so much less than the last time I came. Therefore, the 25 year tradition has officially come to an end, which makes me sad.

Went here during the first weekend in April to celebrate a special occasion. It is definitely the best buffet brunch I’ve had in San Diego so far. It is still a buffet, of course, and no food prepared in bulk is ever going to be as good as made-to-order, but they do a great job. For the money, the value is also good in that the drinks are truly unlimited, and the service is really great; most buffets you’re just on your own and they bring you drinks seldom and they’re mixed sparingly. This place doesn’t have those issues. If you compare to the quality and selection of, say, The Buffet at Wynn in Vegas, the Crown Room doesn’t really stack up in terms of bang for buck if you’re not drinking. The venue itself is really beautiful and classy.

I was brought here for Mothers day and it was such a treat! It’s such a beautiful Historical room. You feel like you are transported through time back to the 1920s. There are several stations with your standard breakfast items and unique dishes as well. Excellent service. Thank you boys!

We went for Sunday brunch yesterday. It is family friendly and so many items to choose from! Sushi, melt-in-your-mouth brisket, snappy green beans with almonds, poke, ceviche, sweet crepes with berries and whipped cream, unique waffles (I won’t spoil it, you’ll have to try them) a large assortment of decadent desserts, a variety of omelets, eggs Benedict made differently (salmon was my favorite), crispy salads, and for the kids…and the kid in us…a candy station! Yay! And bottomless drinks. And the all wood room is gorgeous!

You need to treat yourself as royalty at least once in your life. This is that opportunity which should not be missed. My Sunday brunch in the Crown Room was exceptional. The room was bright and a site to see. Service was superb which made up for the cramped table which seemed to be nothing more then a small dressed up folding table. The food was wonderful, delicious and never-ending. I loved the seafood and my daughter loved the donut station. Afterwards we worked off some of the calories by walking down the beach and taking in some of the history of this beautiful hotel.

Food wasnt too bad just extremely overpriced. We went for their Christmas brunch and for two people the price point with tax and tip was around 350. It was maybe worth half that amount and that is pushing it.
