The food is delicious, the atmosphere is delightful, and the workers are super friendly. The lychee shake was very refreshing and sweetened well. Got the dosa, mattur pruneer and another curry. I’m knocking it down a star because the dishes were $15+ so I kind of expected the portions to be larger

I have been coming to this restaurant for 20+ years. This is my go to restaurant for dosa whenever I’m in Hicksville area. Today is the first time I was disappointed by the food and the service. My favorite mini idlis tasted soft, generic, and bland. The chutneys used to be thick and flavorful. Today they were thin and flavorless. We ordered one salty lassi and twice they brought a sweet lassi. We ordered a masala dosa with 2 spoons of masala. That ambience is gone with a cheap replacement. I didn’t think I’d be this disheartened to find out my favorite dosa place for the last 2 decades has changed so much in 1 year.

Food is always good here. Service was a little slow this time, took about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us.

This is the best South Indian food I have had anywhere in the US. We’ve been coming for years and they are always adding to the menu, changing decor and their consistency in taste is what makes us come back again and again. Their rasam is an attack on your tastebuds which leaves you asking for more. From their dosas to traditional dishes, everything is prepared fresh and is always delicious. The badam halwa is a mouth soothing finish to the bombardment of flavors in your mouth. No matter what age, any person will leave here feeling satisfied and content. One piece of advice though….read the menu thoroughly before ordering.

We went recently for dinner. The food was fresh and well prepared. We tried idly and dosa and filter coffee. It was served with in 15 minutes. Food was tasty. The Portion was too small and quite costly for a vegetarian restaurant. It was tasty. They have Hindu idol and cultural items inside the restaurant. Also there is a ATM available inside the shop. Overall it was a ok experience!

I lived in India for years as a child and this is the best Indian food I’ve had in this country. Jay and his whole staff are spectacular and I love going here. It’s extraordinary affordable, spectacular flavors and spices and cooked to perfection. Make sure you get the paneer pakoras.

We went here last Saturday and looks like although the food was good, the cleanliness policy went out the door, the server was grabbing spoons and forks by their heads, to serve on tables, a lot of flies were buzzing around and the bathroom situation cannot even be discussed. I think the owners are running this with the thoughts that after all there will be just Indians gracing this place and they can be treated any which way it pleases the owner but now my family has drawn the line on thus one.

Best dosa I’ve eaten and I’m always treated like family when I go. No matter how long it’s takes me to go back, the owner and staff always remembers me. I highly recommend

Disappointed …. Used to be one of the best places to go for south Indian food but they seem to have lost their roots with an upgrade to the decor.
