Visited around 4pm on a Saturday and we were seated quickly. Drinks, chips and salsa, and food all served within a very reasonable time. Presentation of food was alright at first, then we took a few bites of the nachos. I’ve never had watery nachos before, but this was a first. The ground beef was similar in texture to taco bell but lacked any flavor besides the ‘cheese’ and hot sauce added. I’m pretty sure the chicken was canned and soaked in salsa for some kind of flavor.

If I could make the choice to not come here I would go back and tell myself not to do it. The food was really not good, I was exceptionally hungry when I stopped in but after a few bites and the hunger dropped off a bit it really hit me. Most of the food was soggy and tasted nearly canned (especially the chicken in the nachos).

Disappointed in this restaurant. Use to be our favorite – good food and service. Went there on Friday – April 14th around 1:45. Not very many people and we were seated immediately. Ordered our food and more people started coming in. They placed all the people in our section – including a large party of 10 right beside us. They could have spread people out into other sections but they didn’t. We asked for napkins and chips – server never brought them. Finally flagged him down again and he went and got them. Server never came by and asked if we needed anything or refills. Will not be going back to this restaurant.

Just okay. Salsa very bland. Ordered chimichangas red sauce taste like it’s out of a can/bottle, rice (is it Uncle Ben’s Spanish rice?). Where’s the spices and heat??? Won’t be back. Gave 2 stars because the waiter was very nice.

Casual date night landed us at Las Trancas in Southridge after seeing Jungle Cruise. I was quickly reminded why they are one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The Las Trancas dip was phenomenal. My chicken chimichanga’s were on point; loaded with veggies and tender chicken. My husband got his normal pollo loco and it is hands down the best in the valley. Piled high with two chicken breasts and tons of veggies. You could have fed two people on just his dish. The dip isn’t on the menu yet, so you’ll have to ask for it, but it’s a good change up and only $5, you could make it a meal.

Second time eating here experience – my husband and I ordered a small cheese dip (it was cold) and two cokes. Ordered our food, waited 40 minutes and still no food. Three tables came in after us (with multiple ppl at their tables) and they all received their food before us. We told the manager, canceled our order and left. This place wasn’t packed at all so we don’t know what the problem was. ♀️ If the waiter would have kept us informed it may have been somewhat better but he didn’t.
