Everyone’s been talking about the newly opened Chickens Gone Wild in Stamford, so we had to come check it out for ourselves! It’s very casual inside, and the wall art was pretty unique. The staff was very friendly as we made our order. I thought it was interesting that all of their sandwiches and meals came with pita rather than bread. The pita was very good, and it was nice not to get weighed down by so much bread like you would at most places. The half chicken was good – not dry and nicely roasted. I do think it could’ve been a bit more flavorful, but they had a wide variety of dipping sauces that paired nicely. The ribs were delicious and very tender! Sandwiches and fries were all good. The sides were good too, and I found the spinach to be my favorite. It was very garlicky which I loved! The Mac and cheese was good, though the pasta was a bit too al dente for my preference. Especially for just starting out, I think Chickens Gone Wild is doing a pretty good job! They were pretty busy for the Sunday lunch rush when we went, and they handled it very well.

Had half rack of ribs and enjoyed every bit of it. Perfectly grilled and really has that backyard bbq flavor. Sauce on the ribs was perfect. Will be trying out the chicken next time. Mashed potatoes were fresh and really tasted like a home cooked meal.

They just opened so I didn’t mind the new business problems like long wait time or nonoptimal setting. For example, it’s a ribs/chicken place but their only napkins are in plastic combo bags with utensils. Not ideal, but again I didn’t mind this.

This place has Excellent Ribs and Chicken! By far the best BBQ Ever in Stamford. The Ribs were very tender and very tasty and the Chicken was roasted perfectly with a nice smoke flavor to it. I highly recommend them. They are right up there with Virgil’s in NYC for my favorite BBQ!

Tried them tonight and ordered takeout/pickup. I had the steak sandwich and it was really good, the meat was well seasoned and there was a ton of it. She had the tenders and really liked them, as they were not fatty from being fried. We also had a side of the regular cheddar fries and it was delicious as well. Service was great from the moment we walked in to when we left.

Who doesn’t love roasted chicken and barbecue?? At Chickens Gone Wild (newly opened on Summer Street in Stamford) we had both and it was delicious! Anthony’s food is not only tasty but it’s healthfully prepared too! Too often roasted chicken places (with all their sides) serve food loaded with salt and fat. Not so here! (One of the only times I didn’t end up feeling bloated with swollen ankles after eating this kind of food.)

Waited almost 1 hour for food to be ready, I would review the food but the service was disappointing. I would suggest getting more staff or staff that is adequate and trained to handle. So far guys are arguing and scrambling to get orders out.

I got the California grilled chicken sandwich, and it’s the most dry sandwich ever. There is no sauce. It definitely is not worth the price
