This is probably the best of the fast food hibachi places I have tried. Their mustard and ginger sauce are very similar to a sit down Japanese Steakhouse. We all got the hibachi shrimp. It comes with rice, carrots, and broccoli. The food is good, the carrots are really good. But it is the sauces that make or break a Japanese restaurant to me and these are really good

I love Tokyo Express. We have been coming here since moving to NC almost 10 years ago. We almost always get the same which is Chicken and Beef combo with either mushrooms or broccoli. The carrots are so good that they could be a meal by themselves. The portions are generous and the food was always delicious and hot. We also love their sauces, especially the ginger sauce. You can buy the sauces in bottles to take home. We love the food and will be coming back often.

Ordered on DoorDash, the restaurant somehow lost my order and then wouldn’t communicate or cooperate with DoorDash to replace my order. I now don’t have time to eat between shifts. Won’t ever be ordering from here

Tokyo Express is amazing! When I moved to the area in 2014, I stopped here for a quick lunch, and fell in love with all of it. The service is friendly and polite, the food is beyond delicious (the carrots are the best!), and the portions are huge, especially for the price, which is quite affordable…ten bucks will fill you up quite nicely. The service is also very quick, I tend to get carry out, and it seems I barely sit down to wait, and my food is ready, hot and fresh. Being from the Midwest, I’d never heard of the ‘white sauce’ they use, but it adds perfection to an already great meal, and is sold in the store by the bottle. I highly recommend this place, one of the best restaurants in Greensboro, thank you, Tokyo Express, for all you do!!

I’m only giving it a 2 out of 5 because I received my refund. Rice was nothing to brag about and the portions were terrible (I got a teriyaki chicken entree with extra hibachi rice and I kid you not it was maybe 1.5 table spoons worth of chicken). You get one white sauce then have to pay close to $2 for a decent sized white sauce cup. The white sauce was average at best. The chicken tasted like it’s been sitting out for a few days and close to molding. When I told her that the chicken tasted old and you should really check it out to be safe she caught an attitude and rudely questioned my judgement. I’m considering calling a health inspector because of the moldy-tasting chicken.

We had family arriving from out of town unexpectedly and we served Vegetable Hibachi along with rice as sides. Everyone enjoyed the meal. The location is down the street from Rice Toyota.

I get food here all the time! And it actually taste pretty good, if the vegetables are too soft, I just asked for them to undercook them a little bit more next time. Come I never see them actually take anything out of the can or whatever so I think it’s just raw vegetables to use. Before they start grilling. And I talk to the cashier, that one blonde girl. Apparently it’s been a couple rough months for her, I think her mom died or something and I think she has like a major monotone situation. But she seemed very friendly, maybe a bit annoyed that she has to stay so late half the time and she’s overworked. But she’s good conversation for when we’re waiting. Ask for any other rude service, it is a little bit annoying to have to watch them clean up, but I’m pretty sure they close at nine, and that one cashier gets off at like 8:30. But the other people there after the girl leaves are really nice and they let us stay past close time if we’re not done. Steak is a little bit too small, for how much I paid, but any other foods pretty good, and if it’s just not cooked right then I tell them in the cook it again

Food is decent but the young white lady working up front is rude, I over heard her and the older Asian lady making fun of customers.. pretty classless
