In a whim wife asked me to come try this place. Hole in the wall for sure. The food was amazing. I’m a fried rice fanatic so for it to be as super as it was is saying something. Asked for a container since the portions were large and even though full still kept eating while the container came. I had the pineapple cashew with chicken fried rice and wife had the green curry which she also loved. We will certainly be back. Not overpriced and very delicious. Oh and the spring rolls are amazing.

Recently moved to the area and was craving some pad Thai. Popped in here between lunch and dinner. It’s a little hole in the wall place. There wasn’t a wait and my to go order was prepared quickly. I asked for an extra peanuts and got 2 almost full little containers. There could have been a little less egg in my dish, but other than that it was good. Would return.

Basically a little whole in the wall. Went there because it got pretty good reviews. We were highly disappointed. My husband got one of the curry dishes and the sauce was good but the meat tasted boiled. I ordered Orange Chicken and it was mediocre at best the chicken looked just like chicken nuggets from a fast food place. The service was very friendly but not enough to return. We are checking this one off the list.

I showed up to a completely empty restaurant Saturday at 1pm. I almost walked out because the gentleman sitting behind the makeshift “desk” did not notice my presence and did not respond to my saying hello. I believe that he is hard of hearing which is fine but I am not sure how he didn’t notice me walk by him. I ordered 4 coconut shrimp as an appetizer. The flavor was quite good, but the shrimp were small and not a very good value for the money. My main course was the chicken pad thai. The portion was par for the course, flavor of the noodles was good, but the chicken was very dry. The dish was fully supported by the noodles. Again not a great value. I ordered a Thai tea. At $5 it was maybe an 8-10oz drink ( a generous guess). It was heavier on the sugar than a typical Thai tea and topped with whipped cream which I would have opted to not have if given the choice. I did finish the meal. The service was “adequate”. It was fulfilled as a necessary task and was not special in any way. This is clearly a husband and wife operation, neither of which even offered a smile. But that being said youve got to love a guy who reloads ammo and watches 1940s films to kill time while waiting for patrons. I am glad I tried Jasmines Thai Cafe to cure my curiosity. It wasn’t the absolute worst experience, but at $34 after tip for one person for a mediocre lunch, I will not be back.

Fantastic food and extremely polite service here! What I’ve had so far is excellent. I highly recommend the Bangkok iced coffee if you like interesting flavors. It is a mix of Thai green tea and Thai coffee, quite a fun mix!

The only Asian place in Bastrop worth eating at. There is a Chinese buffet if you want expensive food poisoning and Panda Express for the Chinese ish food but this place is Authentic!!! All the food on the menu has meat but the server told us tofu could be subbed for any meat. The tofu was AMAZING! So all the stuff on the menu can be vegetarian!
