I have been to Mambo 3 times and this will be my last time. The first 2 times I went were decent except all the flies on/around my food indoors no matter where I was seated. The staff if friendly and it gives that homely family owned authentic vibe, which is why I came back, however this last time I took a family member as it was their first time and I kinda raved about their gnocchi. So we get there and was seated right away, but it started out all wrong and one of the waitresses accidentally dropped the small serving plate on my mom’s foot, she apologize which was a simple mistake it happens, but when the food came out I think that is what the entire all around experience bad. I suggested to my mom to get the gnocchi (which the sauce is great) and to add a protein on the side so she got the grilled chicken. The chicken came out soo dry, over cooked and no seasoning what so ever. I had to taste it myself to make sure and it was not good. I ordered the Rigatoni Salsicia (never had it before) and it came out with very little Pomadoro sauce and it was extremely watery, no seasoning or flavor and the veggies were raw and crunchy it was like a pasta salad more than a hot dish. I was highly disappointed and when my waitress finally came passing by my booth, I stopped her to ask for cheese to help my dish out because if I wanted it to look and taste like it did. I would have asked my 16yr to cook LOL. There were whole bay leaves all in my food that I had to pick out. and lots of flies that she kept apologizing for.. Our water decanter and glasses came out before our food which is what they do. Our small serving plates, silverware and glasses were dirty and our water taste bitter for some reason why? because the glasses still had wine in it and the waitress apologized about that and stated she has been complaining to the dishwashers to do a better job as this apparently is not the first incident. We had to ask for plates twice as each time she brought new ones out there were dirty with food and finger prints stuck on them. IDK not a happy camper for what I paid.

I went to celebrate my birthday here and my waitress made it an amazing experience though i celebrated alone they made it so comforting to the point where i was so happy and it felt like the best birthday ever the food will fill you up and the drinks will definitely have you feeling great

To go order was 5 stars!! Lasagna was delish. However, the fig citrus salad is what you must order if you appreciate orange, figs, avocado and goat cheese. This hit all the spots!!!

I will have to go back and re-try this place. We went on a Sunday afternoon and they were understaffed. Because of this the wait for food and service was longer than should be. But the staff tried their best. And that helped. I had a Rigatoni but did not like it. The cheesy Italian bread was AMAZING, and the drinks were strong. The restaurant itself had a very nice atmosphere. My friends really enjoyed their food (one ordered a pizza and I tried it. It was great). So, all in all, I’m going to give it a low rating currently based on my Rigatoni not being good and the place being understaffed. But, I do plan to go back again, try something different, and will update my rating then.

Pretty good tasting pizza. I had no idea it was a “personal pizza”. Definitely big enough to split with 2 people and a child. Toppings were placed sloppily and the bottom of the pizza was very soggy. I’ll eat there again since it did taste good.

Went in for Ladies Thursday night $5 specials & it was nice!!! We sat at the bar met some nice folks & had a good time. The bartender was a little all over the place but it was a nice experience. We tried the calamari, wings & salmon kale salad with raspberry & peach margaritas and also a nice ginger flavored drink. The good was good but the service could use more work. There was LIVE music & the drinks & appetizers were only $5!!! Nice little vibe.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I called in a carry out order and when I went to pick up my food at the bar I was ignored and service was not provided to me. I waited 20 mins and then had to wave at the bartender for service even though she was right in front of me deliberately avoiding me. They made it clear that I wasn’t welcomed since I walked in the door, if you are black or brown I would NOT recommend dining in. Although the food isn’t bad the service left a terrible taste in my month. I’m Disgusted! I’m 25 years old male, never left a review on a restaurant until now & I’ve never felt racially profiled before until now. I feel obligated to broadcast how terrible I was treated. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE IF YOUR ARE BLACK OR BROWN CLEARLY WE AREN’T WELCOMED.

Went this afternoon at about 12 : 15 pm for lunch. Got seated right away. Warm and welcoming decor. Attentive staff. But the food was awful especially for the price point ( 19 dollars for pesto soup ) Got the chicken pesto pasta. When received it was as if it was a pesto butter soup with pasta and few pieces of meat submerged in it. The pasta was way too over cooked/ soft and mushy. The picture you see is AFTER I asked the waiter to drain out the initial butter and “sauce” that the original dish came with. Even after the first draining session that’s how it came out, couldn’t finish the pasta. Got a headache from the ridiculous amount of butter from few bites I was able to eat around it. Personally wouldn’t visit again but think it can be a cozy place for drinks only.
