We were in Chicago for a week traveling from California and decided to stop and eat at Lefty’s. We were not expecting much but we were blown away by the pizza we ordered! By FAR the BEST pizza we’ve had in our lives. Our server was an older gentleman but he was so kind and made sure we were well taken care of. We’re seriously considering making another trip out to Chicago just to try this pizza again. I was kind of heart broken to find that there isn’t a location in CA. I would definitely recommend this dinner to anyone!

Just had the thin crust pizza last night after a long wait! Definitely better than expected. So much flavor packed in every bite! Don’t go to Lou mal, or Giordanos. This will be my new favorite go to! I didn’t event try the infamous pan yet that’s comparable to Burt’s. Can’t wait to go back!

Delicious. Carmelized deep dish crust. The crusty deep dish edges are on purpose, it’s packed with amazing flavor! Very attentive service. Really good buttery thin crust too.

This place has been the best pizza in Chicago. Their caramel crust on their pan pizza is crisp, chewy and flavorful. Their sauce has the right balance and is not too acidic and doesn’t taste like it came from a can. It’s a little on the pricey side, but well worth it! I have to drive 25 minutes to get there— it is that good! You won’t be disappointed!

First time here last night during the big block party, even though we live really nearby. I thought it was pretty dang good! Nice, old school tavern cut pizza.We ate it outside right out of the box, no frills, no server. A guy came out when they were closing and said he could take our trash but that we could stay as long as we wanted. Seemed nice. Lots of little kids who I guess were busboys, too. There wasn’t much for them to pick up, though, since we ate right out of the box. I was just glad to get some food and sit outside on a beautiful night!

Lefty’s has the best deep dish pizza on the North Shore. The ingredients taste fresh and are not overcooked. The crust is perfect. The balance of cheeses and sauce is excellent and consistent. What else can you say?
