Honestly, the place is very clean, the surrounding art and pieces with the decor is awesome ! Although the service was great, he was attentive and very nice and explained to us he’s a little slow inputting the orders since he had been there a week. Totally understandable!! Although upon receiving our food order besides it being on a skillet, it was cold, I ordered pancakes with fruit, pancakes where filled with black char from previous food on a dirty grill? My friend and I brought up our concern to our waiter. He was very nice and offered to remake the order, pancakes were still filled with black char.we asked to speak to manager waiter mentioned he wouldn’t arrive until later in the day. We done think we will come back anytime soon at least and def do not recommend.

This place is 5 star all around. As soon as you walk in it’s a vibe. The hostess is really welcoming and gave me the option to either sit inside or outside. As soon as we got our table, the person that took care of us came to explain the menus. They were really patient with us and gave us recommendations of their drinks, appetizers and entrees. We went in with the taquitos, queso fundido, and steak nachos. The queso fundido had a excellent cheese pull and the steak nachos were loaded with flavor. We all liked the black beans on the nachos. Also they make hand made tortilla fyi. The molcajete was fuego. That’s fire for those that don’t speak Spanish. The shrimp was succulent. The carne asada was tender, the nopales, chicken, chorizo and queso were really good and paired good with the salsa it came with. The drinks are really fun and refreshing. You will definitely leave satisfied with good food and good music. The Dj is spinning the tunes while you’re vibing with your company.

Everything was lit! The food, the drinks, music, it was a vibe. Even though they are under a remodel they had the outside nicely set up. We had some quesa birria, ceviche, steak chilaquiles, taquitos de pollo, chips and 3 different salsas and it was all so flavorful and delicious. Definitely check them out!

Look im sure thus place is great as a night club but as far a decent for the amount spent ITS DEFINITELY NOT! Ordered typical meals for breakfast 1st chilaquiles in green sauce & eggs 2nd chilaquiles mole eggs over easy.. nothing fancy and 3rd because it was on the menu.. chicken and waffles.. not like Roscoe’s .. just stips and a waffle some fruit and called it a day.. plain Jane meal.. first two meals not bad but not delicious just basic mole was super dry.. the green was the better of the two.. the chicken stops were well seasoned but not worth the price.. the total for 3 was 100 dollars and the waitress was kind enough to give her self a two dollar tip.. grand total $121+change. Quality was lacking and was over priced..but at least the decor was cool to look at. Everything looked good but looks can always be deceiving!

Wow….!!! And that, was our first impression. The place has definitely had a face-lift, a new liquor license, an awsome theme and a great attitude… Friday and Saturday nights its the place to be.. the chips and salsa appetizers were delicious and authentic handmade. And the food…!!!! Another WOW..!!! delicious, truly authentic dishes and a welcome change to the presentation. Not to mention the rice rivals moms homemade rice. And the staff..super friendly, and pleasant. Service was fast. Compliments to the chef the staff and management for a truly amazing experience. Highly highly recommend this place. A must when visiting Uptown Whittier.

piece waffle; should’ve ordered milk to go along with that order. I also ordered the sunrise burrito – it comes with a sunny side up egg on top; for looks I suppose. It tasted as if I was eating an omelette with a soggy tortilla. We received our menus with small samples of what seems to be egg and some other sauce on them. It seems their menus are not kept cleaned. Also our table was close to the mens restroom (Machos) , too close actually. Our host and waiter were awesome., they were friendly and attentive. The location has its walls painted with lively colors of various actors and musicians. A beautiful display of color all around. Perhaps if you got a hangover and want to go eat a nice breakfast meal, this might not be the place to be at early hours of the day, nor where to spend $16 for what looked like one serving of a “ let go my eggo waffle”. In my personal opinion I saw nothing different from this location as others following the hype of this type of location.

The music playing was too loud for such a small venue, couldn’t carry a conversation. Almost felt like I was at an indoor swapmeet. Ordered quesabirrias and two cocktails. The food was worth the long wait; fresh and delicious. The habanero sauce kicked my butt. The drinks were watered down and not worth what their charging. Finally, the service was good. Overall, recommend the eatery/watering joint.

I see some bad reviews but to be honest I had to try it on my own.. and the food and drinks were freaking awesome.” papayote” the Chef great food my total respects.. and my waiter “jose” was the best always checking up on us and having a conversation was awesome.. totally recommend if you are in the area..
