First time there today and I was shocked at how friendly the staff was. The service was awesome. We were checked on. The food has great presentation and taste. You gotta try the brisket taco! Absolutely tender flavorful and delicious! I was pleased. Very pleased. Definitely will return.

Loved it. Sat at the bar, Dean was tending. Super Job! Wednesdays are a good day to go. Had the special Taco, bbq smoked short rib, and the carnitas and the jalapeño Cole slaw. All fantastic. I don’t know why all these Yelp folks are saying there are NO POSTED signs about moving tables and chairs. They were certainly posted on my visit.

It’s worth the wait from the long lines! Trust me. You’ll get there, stand there, and wonder what all the fuss is about until you sit down and bite into a savory fish taco with fresh jalapeños. Then you’ll pat yourself on the back, grateful that patience truly is virtue after all.

I am really saddened to write this review but after thinking on this overnight I believe we were very mistreated at this restaurant. I’ve eaten here countless times, and spent quite a bit of money at this restaurant, and my husband and I were treated with no respect last night. I believe this was one of the first nights it had gotten busy as the students were back. We noticed as we were standing in line that the tables were dwindling so my husband stayed in line and I went to grab the next open table. I was unaware that this was not how they did business- none on the staff was communicating and all seemed very overwhelmed with the amount of people coming in. I saw three staff members talking about me and pointing to me and one of the staff members came over and yelled at me “what are you standing here for?” And I explained my husband was in line and I was waiting for a table. He acted pissed and walked off. At this time my husband called me to come back to line because he realized that this was not a first come first serve type of place (like Cali n Tito’s) and they were going to assign us a table. As we’re standing in line the man who spoke to me so harshly was causing a scene yelling at the host to take no more orders and running around like he was in true peril. It was awkward for everyone in the restaurant. We said we would get our food to go as it seemed that the staff were about to have a meltdown. After we ordered and were waiting we noticed that many tables had gotten up and there was no more line so we went to grab one. It also had started to rain so we weren’t going to be able to take the food elsewhere to enjoy outside. My husband was on the way to ask the host to change the order to dine in when the same rude staff member yelled at her about the table we just took and said “are they dining in now?” And she said “no” and the man yelled “are you sure about that?” At the same time my husband had gotten to the register to ask her to change it to dine in and she rolled her eyes and said “I guess.” At this time I noticed how POORLY we were being treated and asked to just get the $50 order we had placed to go. Many other customers saw how poorly we were being treated and offered for us to sit with them or take their table. The staff all knew we had been poorly treated and completely ignored the situation even though their staff members were causing a scene and not communicating. We ended up eating our food in the earth fare parking lot- not the best date night without kiddos. If you are a parent you know those date nights are special and the staff truly treated us with contempt on our date night. I don’t know that we will ever eat here again and can’t believe the level of disrespect we received after spending money with an establishment. We live in a time of inflation and recession so eating out should be a joyous occasion when you spend your hard earned money on it. Do better, taqueria del sol.

We were not given one of the cheese dips our table ordered, and when we asked the manager about it, he was very rude, would not give it to us, and was disrespectful….over a single cheese dip. I will never go back. The food wasn’t that good. There aren’t free refills. They wouldn’t let our party save seats for those who were running a few minutes later. Overall bad experience except for my friends that I was with.

I’ve been to many Mexican restaurant in the Atlanta area and it’s always a hit or miss on the rice. NOT HERE, the rice tasted just like mom use to make, it was delicious. I will be coming back often.
