Not bad for my first time here. This is a moderately expensive Italian restaurant with a small selection of pasta dishes, pizza and appetizers. I was expecting a more upscale atmosphere and dressed as such but even though it had modern decor and a great view of the Cooper River and park, there is no need to get dressed up. Our appetizers and drinks were served promptly after ordering and our meals followed shortly after and were hot and fresh from the kitchen. While the food was good, we probably will not go out of our way to come here again as we can get a similar meal at an Italian restaurant closer to us.

Excellent food and service. Nice views of cooper park. Deck was open when we visited. The have a free flow kitchen which means food comes out as it is ready so sometimes not everyone’s food comes out at same time. Service was quick today.

Management is 100% the problem with this place. If you go to eat in person, they give you an hour glass of time which is uncomfortable. Food gets shoved down your throat. My last visit was 50 minutes including drinks, apps, soups & salads, main course and desserts. You can’t make up how horrible the speed was. It’s ashame because their staff and food is great. Maybe new management or new owners will be the fix one day but until then NEVER GO IN PERSON. You’ll be chased out the second you sit down.

I really like LaScala’s. I’ve been to the South Philly location, but the Pennsauken location is better – more space and better ambiance. The restaurant has a classy vibe. I came in around 8 for an outdoor reservation and was seated right away. Our server was very patient and didn’t rush us at all. Loved the Birra Wings (great flavor and spice) and my pizza was good too! My only critique would be the live music. Great musicians but a little to loud to have a conversation. Otherwise very good establishment for the price. I’d also recommend wearing decent attire for dinner. Expect most patrons to be dressed

This is a good spot for delicious food in a clean, attractive atmosphere with friendly service. The prices were quite reasonable for the food amount and quality. We had a group of 16, and they were able to serve us well, figure out a way to arrange their tables to accommodate us, and professionally tolerate our late arrival and dessert add-ons. (One person arrived on time to hold our 5:30pm reservation.) Because of the group size, the gratuity was included in the bill. There are many windows on the river side of the dining rooms, allowing a good view of the popular park outside, which has trails ideal for an after-dinner stroll. I was surprised the restaurant was not busier based on the quality of our experience, so try it out before everyone else catches on!

Had a really fantastic experience here. We ate outside and were seated right away. They have a beautiful patio with a very nice view of the river. Our server was also very nice. Food was really delicious, including the honey riccotta plate and caprese plate for appetizers, and the salmon entree and bruschetta salad entree. Unfortunately we did not have room for dessert but it looked delicious. Lots of couples as well as families with kids there which made for a nice atmosphere. We would love to come back one day.

Employees were all nice, but having ants and flies all over by our table was not good. I could not finish my food as it tasted really fishy. My boyfriend and I both left with an upset stomach and almost threw up after coming home. Even now (24 hours later) we are still not feeling to good. They were nice enough to take my dish off the receipt.

We dined outside as the weather was perfect for it! Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The portion sizes were awesome considering the fair menu pricing. Cocktails were also delicious.
