I don’t review local places enough. We came here for our anniversary this year. Service and atmosphere were both excellent and our dinners and drinks were amazing. We will definitely be back.

Open kitchen is so loud, so if they seat you near there, expect to work to hear. Also service was a bit slow, maybe short staffed, but we had some delays for refilling water or placing orders. Also there were only 3 drink menus so we had to wait to view that as well. All that being said our waitress was very nice and the food was super delicious.

My girl and I have been to Copper Rock before and we had a good time. We often eat out and do not go to the Casino to gamble. We decided to go over to the Copper Rock and have dinner as he crave great food and pleasant surroundings. With Tip I believe we spent about $400.00 We had an appetizer, drinks and dinner. We also had the Cheesecake to go 😉 The service was great, no issues there. The problem we had was cold food. The steaks we had were just fine. But the Lobster Mashed Potatoes were cold. The Lobster and Filet we had come to the table with a cold lobster tail. I am not sure about anyone else. But if you are charged premium prices for food, it better be hot. We returned the Potatoes and they took that off the bill. The lobster we had that was cold we warmed up in butter. Not ideal…. We often do not make a fuss at a table, but I will say this is a huge no no. Cold food is the worst. For a higher end restaurant to fail to serve hot food is a recipe for empty tables.

I’m a tough critic first time here. I came in, the bread was amazing. These wealthy ladies next to me complained about everything and the bartender Joel took care of them with extreme professionalism. He had back up support to take my order. Great food great service and experience.

Before I go into too much detail about my experience at Copper Rock Steakhouse South Bend, I just want this to be known. I did not come here for a special occasion. Myself and my best friend came here on a whim, just to see what it was like.

The service was exactly what you would expect from a higher end steakhouse, our waitress was training a new hire and they both did great. My wife’s food and the table bread were delicious, the problem rested with my own food. I was very disappointed. I ordered the filet mignon and it was just not what I expected from a higher end steak. It was very tough and chewy and didn’t taste like a filet at all, my wife got the same cut and size and hers was amazing

If you never had a real Japanese Wagyu steak, if you have never spent $130 on a steak, you should. And you should do it here. I’ve never in my life tasted a steak that when you bite into it it literally turns into juices. Absolute perfection. The best steak I’ve had in my 43 years. Anywhere. It is definitely not the wannabe wagyu steak that is in most restaurants. It was worth every penny

Wild mushrooms bland, I’m guessing purchased frozen or in a jar. Prime rib mostly fat, table not cleared fast enough, food cold. Waitress was poor. Franchise steakhouses are better value then this place.
