Love the location and the charm of this old Inn. View of the river and the sound of it rushing by at night was soothing. Standard breakfast, quiche was good. Did not get a chance to try the Inn for dinner. The menu looked good.

Eating dinner here, with my wife for the first time. Ummm. WHY HAVEN’T WE EATEN HERE BEFORE!?

Our stay at this is a charming, family-run inn was delightful. The innkeeper was clearly busy but very attentive and friendly. We stayed in the annex and it felt like we had stepped back in time to the “motor lodge” era, in a good way! The beds were very comfortable and sleeping next to the babbling river was so restful. We had a delicious breakfast (included with room) in a lovely dining room that overlooks the river. I can’t wait to go back for another stay!

Super cute inn, staff was also very welcoming. They have a cute dog named Lady. Rooms a spacious, mattress is pretty firm, no TVs in rooms which I enjoyed. They have a common room with a tv there. The breakfast was delicious ( got the omelette) but coffee was more like hot flavored water. The view from the dining area is absolutely gorgeous and gives on the river. Would definitely come back!

My fiancé and I stayed at the Mount Washington Hotel, but I honestly think the food is very subpar for a purported 4-star hotel. I found this lovely spot searching Google, and we both were very pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. We were the only customers for the first part of our time there, sat in a very lovely, homey dining area overlooking a stunning river with gorgeous late afternoon sunlight trickling in. Our waitress was great, attentive and the food we had was plated so nicely and tasted delicious. I made a mental note about the fact there are rooms to stay in on-site because I think The Wayside Inn, by far, trumps Mount Washington Hotel in every respect!

Love this sweet friendly charming place. Great view amazing food and drinks. The owner really cares and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. There is even a bunny to greet you named Simon and he is super friendly. The food and the sounds of the river will keep you coming back this place is for vacationers and locals alike!

Stayed up the road for the week and thought my family and I would have a nice local dinner to finish the week. The service was decent, our waitress was great. The food however, was out of an episode of Gordon Ramseys kitchen nightmares. Everything was previously frozen, cold, hard, and all you could taste was the freezer burn. The fish from the fish and chips oozed raw batter from frying. Whoever is in the kitchen there needs to clean up their act and get some lessons in food safe practices. Waste of 100 bucks. Disaster.
