Dairyland is in 3rd St. Market Hall, one of the dozens such modern “food halls” that keep popping up like mushrooms after a storm in a shower of crony subsidies and tax abatements all across the country. The onion rings are in a cardboard carton delicately balanced on a tray, a square of checkered red-and-white paper beneath them plucked right out of quintessential Americana.

Ordered the kid’s cheeseburger so I could have a smaller burger and added bacon. Really good and a decent amount of bacon. The cheese curds! We’re so good. With a side of ranch, I believe beer battered. They are expensive but you get plenty, and obviously not the typical frozen curd, they should be more because of that. Lemonade was really good too. Didn’t wait too long, ordered right when they opened at 11 am.

Today I have discovered Milwaukee’s golden nugget. This restaurant has a menu that is outstanding from top to bottom. The cheese curds , onion rings , and chicken tenders are seasoned perfectly! The burger was served hot and ready. Very fresh buns and made with love !

Short and simple menu, long lines which you expect at a burger or custard stand. The chicken sandwich was flavorful and the Big Man on Campus burger put me in an nostalgic state. Reminded me of the Big Mac from McDonalds when I was a kid, before all the extra added hormones and mystery meat. I will say maybe they need more team members, I waited quite some time for my order, and there weren’t many people ahead of me. Either way, the food was pretty decent. I still feel some type of way about the food containers at the 3rd St Market…

The employees were enthusiastic and quick. They seemed genuinely happy to have customers. The custard was amazing! I’m not from Wisconsin, but I’ll be sure to stop at Dairyland next time I am!

Oh I really like the old school cafeteria style inside this place, it’s so cool and it was clean. The layout is just fun and I think I’d be here on Sunday for a bite quite often, a big variety of places. The cheese curds here (at this restaurant) specifically are great and the ranch is so good. Staff were lovely.

Honestly some really good cheese curds. I’d put them up there with the Old Fashioned in Madison. The burger was good as well but the curds carried it. Didn’t care much for the sauce, it was pretty so-so and reminded me mostly of hidden valley. The mustard on the burger was also very good, and gave the burger a different twist than most normal burgers.

Pretty disappointing. This place is on almost every cheese curd list. Like an expensive MacDonalds. The cashier had a couldn’t care less attitude. The food is expensive. The burger was nasty. The cheese curds were greasy. The malt didn’t taste like malt. Just like a regular shake. The only thing good was the ranch that came with the curds. I hate ranch, but this ranch was freaking delicious. Did not even eat a third of the food. Felt bad throwing it away.
