I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner ️ at the Lumberyard ! The steak was delicious ❤️! Perfect cut and perfectly cooked ! With an appetizer of onion petals, the whole meal was amazing! The wait staff and bartender couldn’t be sweeter and the general manager even came out to check how we liked the steak ! Real down home service with a smile ❤️! It’s the destination steakhouse that you’ve been looking for! I recommend reservations cuz they get busy quickly! Go on out and see for yourself!

It was hot I don’t think they’re conditioner was on bill was a 109. That wasn’t a $100 Worth of Food. The prime Was decent. But you got a small Serving.. I would expect other vegetables than corn or green beans In a restaurant of that stature I would expect Asparagus or something decent..

Holly was our server, and it was a lot of fun chatting with her, we had them do a half order of Rocky Mountain oysters, which we asked her to try,( very good ! ). The steaks were cooked to perfection, the homemade bread was so oven fresh it was amazing. The laid back, slower atmosphere of a small town made our visit delightful. I DO HAVE TO APOLOGIZE to the servers, i was chatting when I paid the ticket and only tipped 10%, good grief, 2 long island iced teas, had me filling no pain, and my math skills flew out the window. Anyway we will be back, and I will make up for my tip fupa. I highly recommend!

A steakhouse in a lumberyard? I grew up in Hutch and have never heard of them. After the ribeye I had tonight it is a good thing. I would probably weigh 400 lbs. This is the best meal I have had in a long time!

Not one steak on the lunch menu, the place was almost empty, it took forever to get our food,so you think it would be fresh…wrong!!! hamburger patties were not fresh, I’m not sure they were even cooked yesterday, dry,rubbery just yuck, Bacon on burger was old left over bacon not even warm, steak fingers were beyond disgusting. Couldn’t have white gravy with the steak fingers because it was “watery”? The best thing of my entire meal the sweet potato fries, they were actually hot, I guess they don’t get too many orders for them so they had to make them fresh! Please do not waste your time and money, find a different place to eat

I love the Lumber Yard Steakhouse located in Zenda, KS. It is a lot of fun to take a small road trip from Wichita to Zenda to take in some ribs and steak at the Lumber Yard. Small – very small, small town service with a friendly country smile. Take another couple with you and drive through the windmill farm after a nice dinner. Check it out and have a nice time in the heartland of America.

Awesome little oasis, out in the small town area. Owned , operated, and served by people who know a thing or two about great beef. They also do an all you can eat seafood bar, once a month. Call early and get in if you can. It’s the real deal !
