The employees are friendly and helpful but I do think they need more training on how to make the chopped salad. I have ordered 5 times since January 2023 and there has always been an issue. The last salad I got yesterday had hardly anything on it but lettuce. Hope the company isn’t changing the amount of chicken, bacon, etc and it’s just a training issues.

DoorDashed Portillo’s on a recent trip to Chicago. The order was delivered quickly but one item, chocolate cake was omitted. We ordered a variety of hotdogs, hamburgers, fish sandwiches, fries and milkshakes. I had the fish sandwich and ate about half. The fish had an odd slightly off taste so I did not finish it. The fries were very soft and barely salted, a disappointment. The Chicago dog on the other hand was delicious! An A+ for sure. Also the cheeseburger was messy, cheesy and delicious as well. The shakes were on another level and huge. Would eat here again but would change my order.

We got completely FINESSED here tonight tell me why I have to order 5 cups of cheese sauce because they only fill them a quarter of the way full! Yet charge $1.50 per cheese cup! Also was charged for extra mozzarella yet my beef had 4 sprinkles of cheese on it which was not extra cheese! I am so tired of this place they do not care about their customers they are all about the money everyone needs to stop giving this location their business! Absolutely disgusting.

First time to Portillo’s. I expected a large beef Weiner in my Chicago Dog and it wasn’t. I expected lots of relish, mustard, celery salt and sport peppers. The hot dog was OK, but no better than the Sonic version I can get everywhere else in the country. I was disappointed. I had heard the chocolate cake was fabulous. It was average and a bit dry. Fries were plain. Really, I was surprised.

An iconic place to try Chicago-style hotdogs. Very saucy and messy. You order cafeteria style and pick up and sit anywhere you like. Tried the Maxwell street Polish which was good but not memorable. The fries were nothing special. Very filling. Overall worth a try but not repeat.

Employees act like high school kids yelling and screaming not paying attention to the orders …the beef bread was so dry I asked for it to be dipped 2 times finally I got a beef but was like eating a soup sandwich..floors are a mess no one is working every other portillos is amazing . This place needs new management..ps..to whom ever reads this beware when you walk in and order the kids there will make you annoyed instantly

Place was clean. Plenty of staff working to ensure service was quick. Food was pretty good. Good price. They just need to make sure they are checking orders before sending them out. They forgot one of my sandwiches but quickly rectified it when i brought it to their attention. I like the old time nostalgia feel of the dining room and all the old signs and signed pictures like you would see in a small local restaurant
