It was my first time there this weekend we went to see the cover band Voyager the band was great as usual they played a lot of great music the sound and audio at the venue is very decent, the food was very tasty the chicken tenders the fried foods were not dry and the burger was done to my liking! The drinks may have been on the head of the high side but I think that’s normal for right now due to inflation, the service was also decent unfortunately the place was very very busy it was standing room only the band has a pretty good following and the place and the people that attended showed so the servers and staff may have been on the overwhelmed side and maybe didn’t have enough people as it is today nobody likes to work so I’m not going to hold that one against them that’s why I only gave them the four stars but I’m sure if they either had a few more bodies or there weren’t so many people the service would have been a little more on point but over that it’s a great venue I would always go back I had no issues there I recommend this venue to see live music!

Went for comedy and music on a Thursday night. It wasn’t very crowded and the talent was pretty good. Had a couple of cocktails. Will definitely return.

Great venue for some awesome bands and great times. Amazing variety of food and even better bar options. Servers and bartenders are friendly, attentive and always on the ball. If you like live music I recommend this place every weekend depending on your likes of music. Check thier schedule and be prepared for a covet charge usually between 10-20 dollars. They do offer vip seating sold at the bar before hand so show up early!

Wow, on the positive side, this place hosts truly some of the very BEST variety of music and musicians and bands in the entire Phoenix area (and I’ve been to many) but on the negative side, the volume of the music will split an eardrum and forget being able to communicate with your friends over the blasts. On the positive side, they do a great job of posting and updating their official website so you can PLAN your entertainment. If you want to hear great music with a nice atmosphere and dance floor, this is the place. However, on the negative side, and the only reason for a score of 3 instead of 5: the volume of the music the night we were there August 13 was too loud to even be able to speak to your friends unless you leaned over and yelled directly into their ear from one inch away. Such a shame. We paid for tickets online, arrived early, and left just 20 minutes after the music started out of fear of a busted eardrum. Never mind trying to meet new people and have any sort of conversation… impossible. Imagine this: “Hey, would you like to dance?” and the person answers you back, “What did you say, you like my pants?” NOT! The large band could have easily played an auditorium, but unfortunately we were in a small bar. The group of people we dance with like to be able to chit-chat a little, at least to be able to hear someone when they ask, “Want to share some nachos?” so we will probably not be going back to Cactus Jacks ONLY for that reason. Everything else about the place was awesome: EXCELLENT waitress and bartender service, gorgeous dance club atmosphere with a variety of table sizes and height, tablecloths, digital light-dimming candles on the tables, 3 big screen TVs to show the performers closeup, limited dance floor, friendly employees, in-house security, friendly front-door greeters like Mary, many typical bar-type food options on the menu, and fair prices for the performance tickets.

What a fun night! We went to listen to live bands. I liked the tall long bar tables although I prefer a stool with a back. The pizza was good and the beer was cold. I don’t think they expected the crowd that was there before 6pm because they were understaffed but they quickly remedied the problem and the service was great. I’ll definitely be back!

Cactus Jack’s 1st Annual Three Day Music Festival was awesome! Local vendor booths had great stuff to choose from. The bartenders and waitstaff did a great job keeping up with patrons orders. Security provided was good. Best of all the music was fabulous.
