Welcome to The Mason Jar, we are a family owned business located in the small town of Coldspring, Tx. nestled around the Courthouse Square. We have amazing food, and try our best to serve you in a timely manner, though sometimes it gets a little hectic around here. We have a small outside patio that seats around 20, we have a kids area with chalk boards & Toys. We have a full Service Bar, and our menu ranges from burgers to steaks!!! You thought the Paradise Grille or the hop was the best in town? Wrong! You can definitely taste the authentic taste a burger is supposed to have here. You can feel the warmth of the customer service as they’re so polite. I had a really large order for my family and they had it ready in 10 minutes!!! NO ONE around can beat that. This place deserves a bigger dining area and parking lot. My favorite place around. Love at first bite.

The staff seem kind enough, and the food was OK. However I won’t be returning. I understand the look and feel they are going for with a small town, at home type feel. But, there’s a line of too much they crossed for my taste. It seems to be working for them though, because it was WAY over crowded. I was super uncomfortable, and disliked the whole experience. Props to them for keeping up with all the tables. I didn’t see anyone that needed anything that had to wait long.

Food was so good. We ordered the Mason Jar Burger, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Kids Cheeseburger and Kids Corndogs. The sourdough buns were so soft, fresh, and yummy! Everything was so delicious and the service was friendly.

We found this on a page for eateries on Lake Livingston and stopped by tonight for dinner. The food came out super quick and was really good. Our waitress joked with us and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed most of the decorations (seemed skewed towards Longhorns, needed more Aggie paraphernalia) and the small town/downtown vibe. A little pricey but we would go back.

What a pleasant surprise to find this place! Cody was awesome at the bar and as our server. They were very busy but didn’t miss a beat. We ordered the steak special and chicken fried chicken. DELISH!!! And a not so bad lg Rita. We will be back!!!

Food is consistently good. Service is good although they are understaffed. The 2 that are usually there work excellent together. They help each other immensely. The owner is grouchy and rude- thankful when she isn’t waiting tables. Hours of operation stink- guess they don’t care or they can’t staff. I don’t think the prices on the menu match the charges. Maybe they add charges and don’t tell you up front? Just beware of the bill. Cute atmosphere. Still think chips and salsa are a good idea for the menu. Owner suggests you go to a Mexican restaurant – see what I mean. This is Texas after all. Definitely the go to restaurant in Coldspring. Some competition with good food, customer accommodating hours and an owner that likes her job would be a great addition to Coldspring.
