This place is a gem! We stopped on a whim while driving down Hwy 301 on our way to Florida. The parking lot was full for the Sunday Dinner Buffet. This is true home cooking. Everything was hot and fresh. The fried chicken, squash casserole, and sweet potatoes were especially good. If we are ever in the area, we’ll be back!

My wife and,I stumbled upon this hidden gem of the South on our way home from Virginia. The service was great and the buffet was Excellent with very Southern cuisine, vey clean and reasonably priced.

I ate lunch here there was a lunch buffet with a standard Comfort Foods Fried Chicken excetra seafood and other things on the menu had the two piece platter shrimp fried with broiled flounder french fries hush puppies and one trip to the salad bar everything was pretty good the shrimp were very lightly breaded and tender flounder actually tasted like a ocean fish the only negative was that the shrimp a little too salty prices are reasonable

I have always enjoyed eating here- usually on special days or Sunday- last time was Thanksgiving. The chicken was wonderful. I have a hila-hernia so have difficulty swallowing many things but had no problem with this entire meal. Great price as well- $10 regular days it is only $8.00 total. Thank you for great food at a good price.

Ate supper there with my friend from South Carolina had a very good experience with the staff we were acknowledged as we entered the restuarant as we should have been i appreciated that fact.we looked at the buffet and decided to have it for dinner. We ate the seafood it was very good my only complaint was the clams were overcooked made them tough. Everything else was delicious. We had a pleasant evening and we will return for a future meal.

Very disappointed. On our way past to go load. (Were truck drivers). We decided to stop on way back up to eat.We enjoy to be able to get away from usual truckstop food and atmosphere. However this wasnt a good experience at all. Had to get our own menus then waited for salad bowls, had to get them ourselves. Then had to get our own silverware

Heard good things about this place but our first experience want good. Paid $27.00 for two adults and one childchild entering and was told someone would bring our drinks out. After 15 minutes no one had taken our drink order and we decided to go ahead and fix our plates. Once we walked up to bar there was no barbecue in the pan, no seafood out sides were empty and only two pieces of chicken. We got there at two and they don’t close till three. I asked for a refund since we have are it registered our drinks and was told you will have to talk to the owner about that. Someone else have us the refund and we left. Food looked good but never got to try it.

We went on a Sunday and chose to order off menu instead of getting buffet. Huge mistake! I ordered platter with grilled shrimp, broiled shrimp and broiled fish, ALL the shrimp was very over cooked and tough, and fish had strange texture and poor flavor. My wife ordered Fried Catfish and it came out with tail attached and over cooked. Expected filets not tail on. The “salad bar” was very small and poorly stocked. The waitress never checked on us after delivering food. We had to go ask for bowls for salad and get our own straws. The steamed vegetables were very over cooked. We were both very disappointed in the food and service and regretted not giving the buffet a try even though some of the food on it looked like it was not real fresh. Overall a BAD experience. I guess with not many other options of restaurants in the area that is the only thing keeping this place with any business. I would drive to Statesboro before eating here again!
