Food was okay. It is located in an 1870s house that was turned into an inn. Food is kind of expensive. $86 for 5 dishes. The pad thai is not very authentic; no mung bean sprouts included in dish. Double check before you leave with takeout they forgot to include the rice with panang when i ordered. Overall food is average but probably won’t order again.

I have had three very different experiences with this place, it’s almost like I’ve been to 3 different restaurants. The first experience we ate in at the restaurant and loved it. The food was great, the family is awesome. The second time I got food to go at their truck. This food was disgusting, tasted like the worst cheap Chinese food I’ve ever had. I threw it away and figured it’s just their truck food that’s terrible. The third time I got food to go from the actual restaurant, and it was not very good, but not as horrible from the food truck. I spent about 20 minutes putting extra ingredients into my take out to make it palatable. Still tasted like cheap Chinese take out, not at all like Thai food. We are done giving this place chances. I really don’t understand the huge difference between the quality of food that we experienced. When I look at pictures from other people’s reviews I am shocked because it looks so much better than what we received. What is going on here?

Food was really good. Even though I was full and asked for a tray for carry out I couldn’t stop eating.

They only had one staff (a sweet guy!) so there was a wait but it was so worth it. The food was really delicious. We were so glad we stopped by. Will be back again!

Staying here was one of the top highlights of our trip to Staunton! We loved every minute at this unique bed & breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and our room was charming. We felt so lucky to have found this gem and can’t wait to stay there again. (Cherry on top: Guests sign a paper ledger book upon checking in, just like in an old movie or novel. Signing a paper ledger just added to the atmosphere of Ubon Thai Restaurant Inn being a really special, storybook kind of place.) Thank you so much for making our time in Staunton feel magical!

The food was so delightful that we began eating before we thought to take pictures. We received exceptional service from the vivacious owner, Ubon. We will most definitely return when we’re back in the area. We are visiting from Georgia, so this was our first time at Ubon Thai Victorian Restaurant. Also, they are vegetarian friendly!

The restaurant is far from Staunton town center so don’t attempt to walk but drive there. The only asian restaurant in that area. They have a 6 bed breakfast hotel in the same complex as the restaurant. The food is decent and homemade. Not professional but very very tasty. Drunken noodles made from store bought noodles but tasty. The curries were good and the quantity was decent. I would recommend eating some home Thai food here.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was authentic, fresh, and delicious. The homemade freshly squeezed lemonade and Thai tea was a great refresher. We couldn’t help ourself without fresh cut watermelon and homemade funnel cake. Best food we’ve had in a long time and It wasn’t expensive. Highly recommend

Absolutely authentic !!! While I was born in Staunton, I moved away to the West coast when I was around 3 years old and so have had my many shares of authentic Thai cuisine, in the homes of many friends and restaurants…
