Black Girl Taco Chronicles sent Just A Girl From The 206 on a special assignment to Granny’s Tacos in Austin, Texas. Thank God we stopped at Granny’s Tacos! It was a great decision. The line may have been long, but the service was quick and we were able to find a spot to sit. The best part was that everything at Granny’s Tacos is made from scratch using homemade, family recipes passed down through generations. You can really taste the difference in the salsas, marinades, and seasonings. We had a variety of tacos, including the Migas (corn chips, eggs, pico, cheese, avocado), Alambre (steak, chicken, bell peppers, chorizo, onion, bacon, jalapeño, cheese, avocado), Shrimp Taco (shrimp, onion, red & green cabbage, granny’s dressing, cilantro, avocado), Birria, and Al Pastor. Every single one was absolutely delicious and rated a 10 out of 10. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by Granny’s Tacos for some truly authentic and tasty tacos.

Their breakfast tacos are always so good! You can choose any 3 items to include in there. They take cards too. I also tried their campechano and birria tacos also and recommend them! There’s a small area with tables to eat on.

I had a great experience at this taco truck. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the price was right. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great breakfast taco. I got two tacos, but I could have easily eaten just one. They were so good that I couldn’t stop eating though

Omg so good. Perfect way to start my visit in Austin. Excellent tacos. Wish I could’ve gone back to try more. Tacos were also really big! One was plenty which was great but also sad that I couldn’t try more haha. Salsas great too.

When this taco truck first opened and food was being made with love by the older couple who ran it (I think they are the owners) it was freaking DELICIOUS! You could eat there daily it was so good. NOW, it’s just so so. Not anything I rave about anymore and don’t necessarily recommend either. Sadly more/new hands in the kitchen don’t always make tasty food. It’s good for tourists and people who don’t eat or know homemade meals and how good they can taste.

The cashier was really nice. My husband ordered a breakfast burrito and I just asked them to give me their best-best sellers. if you are looking for typical street tacos, this is not the place. they are definitely tacos. the package seems small initially but honestly, the way they are stuffed they should be burritos. all were pretty good. they are heavy, so if you’re an average eater, two should be plenty. Don’t recommend if you’re looking for something light and fresh.

Delicious for at the classic Granny’s Tacos. The breakfast tacos are build your own and are great. I definitely recommend the corn tortilla upgrade. The alambre taco was delicious too. I think I got more egg in my bacon egg taco vs the chorizo egg taco. Overall, a great place to get some breakfast!
