Not epic, which is required for me to grant 5 stars… that being said, will not disappoint. They have a great assortment of subs. The ham and Swiss is as good as it gets, good ham, good cheese, fresh tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber, the cucumber really set it apart. The Ruben… perfect. The key is prep, heat meat in saucepan pan, throw on flat grill with cheese, flash the kraute, put together. That’s old school all the way, no short cut…brings out all the flavor. Is it NY 2nd street deli, no, but I’m happy enough. So why 5 stars if not epic? Dr Brown’s soda, specifically Celray soda, this is only place in Western NC that has it.

Some of the best subs we’ve had. The bread, roast beef, potato and pasta salads are made in-house. They use high-quality Thuman meats and cheeses. Prices are reasonable. $11-$14 for a 12″ sub with a side of chips, potato or pasta salad or slaw. Looking forward to trying the Cheesesteak and Old School Special subs next time. Be sure to check out their new location in Black Mountain as well.

Great local deli! My partner and I tried here today because we were off and could make it in time! The subs came out fresh and yummy. We ordered a cookie, but they were not to enthused about the batch and gave it to us for free and a side of potato salad (they over heard us talking about it). Service was very nice and attentive. Do wish their hours were extended or open on Saturday as well. Overall though a super yummy lunch. I got the Italian and my partner made her own sub!
