Breakfast burrito was AMAZING!!! Salsa was so good!! Stopped here on the way to Phoenix, wanted to grab a breakfast burrito on our way and this place has 4+ stars. The store front doesn’t look super inviting but don’t let that fool you, go eat there!!!! Great people, great service! A must place to eat. Husband and I both agree, 5 stars

I have been to hundreds of Mexican restaurants over the years, but Platas is now far and away my favorite place to get a satisfying meal in one simple wrap of all out flavor. Christina made us feel at home at this family restaurant which has been churning out authentic and satisfying homemade recipes since the 70s. Try the #1 Meat and Bean, or Shredded Beef n Potato (#9 or 10) burritos, You will be on Cloud 9 as I am. This is no exaggeration. I assure you. All burritos come wrapped in homemade flour tortillas, the quality of which I haven’t tasted since my abuelita passed away 40 years ago. Prices very reasonable too. Now looking for reasons to drive the two hours from Cerritos just to visit again. A+, a 10, 5 Stars, no debate here.

Generous but not absurdly large portions. Tacos were yummy and the meat very tender. Super nice staff in this little hole in the wall place off the beaten path. The street parking was a bonus for us in our long RV set up.
