On the Alley is located in the Ventura Harbor. It is a very clean and well-known stop. From the cashiers to the server and waiters and waitresses and bus people it is a very pleasant and calm relaxing vibe. The workers there are very easy to talk to and will joke around with you. Plenty of seating in and out that is maintained real well. The pricing of the food is fair with a view that you can’t beat. The food was very good too. If you ever go to the Ventura Harbor stop by on the Alley I recommend it.

I would read the atmosphere higher except nobody cleaned off their tables, so then we had the birds that we were contending with as we were eating dinner. Just not a very nice thing. I even went so far as to sit under the covered patio inside the building to avoid the birds, but it didn’t help!

Gave this place a try yesterday while walking the harbor with my gf. We ordered the fish and chips and clam chowder bowl, the food was amazing. The beer was ice cold and refreshing. I was very impressed and will be going back. Thank you.

Great food and quick service! We got it to go so I didn’t get the whole experience but my whole family loved it. Their fish tacos were delicious and the ingredients were so fresh. Even the chips were good. The clam chowder and sour dough was delicious also and comes from brophys right upstairs. And their prices are good. With how expensive most restaurants are now it was nice to get good quality food that didn’t cost $20+ per person. And it was ready quickly. Within 10 minutes. I’m excited to have a new regular spot to eat at!

Me and my family love coming here. We would always go to Brophy Bros but when we had our dog with us we couldn’t go. Little did we know On The Alley serves Brophy Bros food!!! This is our go to, love this place. Always have good music on, good drinks to choose from, calamari and fish and chips are great, a great breeze comes through the restaurant, they have hugh chairs. It’s casual, take a number, seat yourself. we love it

I was having a rough day, and was stranded in Ventura waiting for a tow and decided to grab a quick bite. The kitchen was unfortunately understaffed resulting in long wait times for food and there were several unhappy customers, but the manager worked hard to make everything right with everyone. I had to leave because my tow truck was arriving, and I asked to cancel the order. It had just been completed so the manager gave me the shrimp tacos to go and comped the order. I didn’t want to eat them in the tow truck so I waited until I got home and by then they were cold but they were still DELICIOUS. Excellent food and a staff that works hard even when they’re short staffed. Just wanted to share my appreciation.
