After a full day of climbing & hiking, this place was Heaven on earth! Menu full of comfort food & low prices. Seriously – lasagna & spaghetti for, like, $11! Plus the staff was pretty fun. Super personable folks.

A comforting meal after a day of climbing at Seneca Rocks, Reeds Creek or Smoke Hole Canyon? This is the place to be. No frills, only true comfort food like that one of your grandma. So, meatloaf, steak, chicken, wonderful rainbow trouts (locally catched), and home-made desserts. After a great climbing day with my buddies, I had the Fireside Burger (locally raised grass-fed beef patty served on a ciabatta bun and topped with grilled onions, pepper jack cheese, pepper bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickle, & house spicy sauce) with hand-cut fries. It was superlative. The service could be faster, but it’s a family run diner, and the food worth a wait. Prices? Incredibly low. For that burger, which is the signature burger of Fireside Cafe, only $9, plus $0.50 for the fries. Definitely one of the best burger in my life.

Since we discovered this place, we have really enjoyed going. But since it’s an 45-60 minute drive, we only go about once or twice a month when we are headed that way for a cabin stay getaway. Love their sweet potato fries and the shrimp is really tasty. I also really enjoy their BLT sandwich. The fish is also good.

Went there with about 14 people, usually that can cause confusion and craziness but the waitress did amazing and the food was spot on. If you go you muuuust get the stuffed mushrooms because they are so damn good. After that I have some chicken tenders and large onion rings. Also a loaded baked potato all so good. Seriously to good. Thank you guys

Ate here twice on a recent motorcycle trip. I had their signature burger and fries which at first glance didn’t appear to be anything special but had excellent flavor. Second meal I had a salad which was decent size though you’ll want to ask for a second cup of dressing. Staff is what you would expect in rural WV–pleasant. The people in the region are some of the nicest you will meet. Decor is a little dated and tired but I don’t eat the decor. Homemade cake for dessert was tasty. Everyone in my group was pleased with their meals.

Horrible service waited almost an hour and a half to get our meal. Then the meal was horrible. Good thing I got a baked potato otherwise I would not of had any dinner. The meatloywas awful. My husband had there spaghetti and he said it was horrible. Sorry even though we are staying in the hotel we will NOT be back for a meal.

Just passing through we were recommended to go out this way for lunch by the moe fatz ice cream shop. well worth it all ingredients were fresh and seemed to be local. I had a taco salad the bowl was nice fresh and crisp yummm! Prices were really good as well and the service was even better. “Don’t expect to get AT&T cellular inside”

Lots of things to choose from on their menu. I got a sweet tea with bourbon flavored wings and a taco salad for $17. Both were very good!
