PHENOMENAL. This place has a special place in my heart. Went here for my husband birthday & came back again. The food is 40/10, the service is amazing, the servers are kind, patient & very friendly. I love one there; Mike Capizzi! He makes the best cocktails. The desserts are to die for. I’d be back again. They accommodate special requests as well!

I enjoyed the halibut, cream of crab soup, and the Windsor , outdoor seating. Also had the “bananas foster” as dessert although it was not traditional, Louisiana-style Bananas Foster, which is flambéed and caramelized with rum. Their version was a plain banana split without toppings (banana and vanilla ice cream with a drizzle of caramel and walnuts). Please don’t call that Bananas Foster. connoisseurs of that unique dessert will recognize .

I would recommend this spot if you’re considering it! After initially trying it out the first time, I had to come back on a Friday night with my partner. The manager on duty was super accommodating when I was looking for bar seating. It was pretty packed but he found 2 seats for me which was so nice! And the charred oysters are bomb. Obsessed!!!! My partner and I really just came for drinks and apps and we really enjoyed everything. FYI: the bar extends to the outdoors with a couple seats outside. On a nicer day I am looking forward to that.

Great new place on the Avenue with a great menu and drinks. The grilled oysters were amazing as was the Old Fashioned and their take on the Cuban … Just spectacular. The hostess and waitresses were friendly and polite and truly embodied The Local vibe.

My friends and I had a terrific night out at the new location of the Local!! The service was amazing, especially with us having such a large group. Zach, the owner & Lou, the district manager both came over to greet our table. The drinks were incredible & the was delicious. Especially loved the beef wellington! The Local truly treats their guests like family. Looking forward to our return!

Food was amazing. We had the Chesapeake oysters, pork chop and short rib and all were perfect. Service was excellent and the beer selection was really incredibly good. I love that they are supporting and showcasing our wonderful local breweries. Highly recommend.

Just got home from an amazing experience at the new Local Whitemarsh. We had reservations. The food was just wonderful! I had the halibut, and my friend had the pork chop. We also had Caesar salad and the cheesesteak eggrolls. So good! Service was excellent, attentive and friendly. Perfect timing for each coarse. We wanted desert so bad, but could not eat another bite! I can not wait to go again!

We ate here the day it opened and the food is just as good as the Fallston, MD location but so much bigger. The atmosphere is fresh and vibrant, casual but has an upscale feel to it even though shorts and t-shirt are perfectly fine. The food taste and presentation is more suit and tie worthy. The service is good, very friendly and courteous but you can tell it is brand new so some of the servers are also new and just getting their feet under them so be patient and understanding. Being a server is not an easy job and with a hot new restaurant they are busy. I highly recommend eating at The Local if you want an exceptional dining experience in a casual restaurant with an upscale feel. To me that is the best of both worlds. We were there on August 1st and going back again tonight!!!

Nice ambiance and the location is great, love the Fallston location but this is better for a stroll after dinner. Our server was great, a little soft spoken but very attentive. I had the short ribs and they were amazing! My husband had the beef stroganoff, the flavor was great but the noodles were really gummy, I don’t think they were prepared/cooked correctly.

I ordered the duck confit and it was truly a mess. They want to claim themselves as a chef and elevated food experience but can’t even perform a simple fried rice dish? It’s way too mushy and it was way too wet. I would honestly go to a generic Chinese restaurant than try that dish again. Plus it’s overpriced. Not only that the management is horrible towards their guests and also their employees. I have seen one manager bash on an employee over 1 simple mistake and we can tell that individual burst into tears not too long ago. The atmosphere may have bin great but the food? The service? And the management? You can count me out. Never again.
