Water Pig BBQ is an open air, beachfront BBQ restaurant, and along with the amazing view and casual dining, we sometimes make the decision to close early during less than great weather. If the temp drops below 50 or it’s super windy or rainy, it’s probably a good idea to give us a call before coming out to Water Pig BBQ.

The food was the best BBQ we’ve ever had and we’ve had a lot at different places in different states over the years!! Too bad we don’t live in Pensacola Beach but then again maybe that’s a good thing, lol. The food portions are very generous so be ready to share! The views and atmosphere were amazing! The staff was awesome, especially our server Luke! He was such an awesome young man, very attentive but not bothersome. He was so nice, answered our questions and was very helpful!! This place is absolutely a MUST if you’re in Pensacola Beach!!!!

We went for lunch. The food was good, nothing super. But it was good. The view is awesome, the atmosphere in the place is relaxing. Our waitress was perfect. She let us eat, kept our drinks full, and treated my wife and I like we were her aunt and uncle, which was much appreciated. The price wasn’t bad either. Come for the food, stay for the view.

Heard great things, came highly recommended, but today maybe they just had an off day? Said 45 minute wait, was 1.5hr, touted as the best BBQ, well I know a little something about bbq and smoking meats, these were bland, ribs stuck to the bone, brisket, chicken, pulled pork all dry. Loaded tots, flavorless. Burnt ends, dry and burnt. Sausage, cheese was still cold within it. Collared greens were ok, corn was good, service was great. The waiter told us the kitchen was very backed up, but there was a ton of empty tables even with the massive wait. Maybe just an off day? I won’t be back to confirm though, too many other spots here to try.
