My boyfriend and I were here Sunday morning and absolutely love this little restaurant. We ordered the pupu platter, smoke meat special and the teriyaki steak plate and each item was so delicious! Everyone working was so nice and helpful. This is a wonderful little gem in the city and we can’t wait to go back!

What can I say about this unique place. Well the layout of the actual restaurant was very clean and modern. Very hawaiianness themes. Although I must say, the restaurant itself is snuggle closely and a South City neighborhood . It is cozy, but to be quite frank Parking is absolutely terrible. You have to battle with the residents of the neighborhood for parking and most of the times you’ll probably have to park down the street and commute to the restaurant. As far as the food, the food was interestingly, well prepared, unique and taste, and quite flavorful. Although the portions do leave something to desire, I would give the food ate out of 10 on a scale rate. However, the customer service does need work. Some of the employees look bored and were lounging around. The restaurant is though they had nothing to do. Awkwardly staring at patrons as they either picked up their food or eight. Don’t get me wrong. The employees do their job. But there’s no vigor or component of servicing to the customers while they’re doing it. You since a undertone of a burden that you’re putting on them by asking them questions. They are friendly but they are not cheerful at all. Overall, with the experience and the taste of the food, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The best times to visit would probably be throughout the week while the people who live in the neighborhood are at work. Better chances for parking. I also recommend to order online, pick your food up and dine at home. You’ll have a much better experience with the meal and the dining process.

We used Buzz’s to cater my boss’ 60th Birthday Luau Luncheon. I ordered less than a week in advance. There was great communication and when I went to pick up the large order, everything was hot, ready and packaged for travel. The staff was friendly and helped me to my vehicle.

I’ve eaten here before and the food is delicious. I walked there with my 2 dogs this last time. An employee was grilling out front and another employee was out talking to them. I called I side to place a to go order, since I had my dogs with me. Girl answers the phone. I ask to place a Togo order and tell her I’m sitting out front at the picnic table. We can see each other. She tells me I have to order online for a to go order. Spend 15 minutes in the sun on a 95 degree day wrestling the website and still can’t get my order to go through. $35 worth of food. Frustrated, I grab the dogs, walk past the guy on the grill and said, “The food smells delicious. Too bad your employee that answered the phone didn’t want to take my $35 order and your website is frustrating.” He apologized and wanted me to stay. My dogs and myself were too hot to wait any longer. Told him maybe ill come back sometime and see if someone wants to take my money. He did say he was going to go in and have a talk with his staff.

Fantastic, fresh authentic Hawaiian food in a great neighborhood. Staff was super friendly and attentive – the owner Buzz was they and shared a bit of his background, his love for Hawaiian food and desire to bring authentic Hawaiian food to STL – well done Buzz! Everything was fresh and tasty, very clean and bright restaurant with outdoor patio. Don’t have alcohol, but share space with bar next door which is perfect!

Fine….order at the counter place , deliver to table type of place. 2 things we ordered were not available….only found that out after we ordered, paid and sat and waited for 10 minutes. We had 5 people there and everyone had something different. Everything was fine except the pulled pork dish which was inedible without soaking it with sauce and the pineapple ice cream was icey,. Everything else was just ok. Good bones and a good idea….they need to get some people in a testing room to get the flavors to pop.

Fantastic food, incredibly clean place and nice staff! Only thing keeping it from being 5/5 is the portion size. Just a tad small for the price. 3/4 more pieces of meat or a single lumpia or the like would help better match the midwestern gluttons like myself.

Everything I’ve had here tastes amazing and has something unique about it. The Chicken Yakitori had a delicious, crisp breading with a sweet/savory glaze. I’m not normally a fan of macaroni salad, but the side that comes with the chicken was incredible, as was the rice. Their pork sandwich on a Hawaiian roll had this great pineapple slaw and light bbq sauce. Definitely visit this place if you enjoy eating delicious food.

Food is pretty good, but portions are on the smaller side. There is a sign out front that says “now hiring team members with an aloha spirit” or something along those lines. Clearly, they have yet to find that because the lady taking my order was so rude and kept sighing when I asked a couple of questions. I should state there was literally nobody else in there but me. When she brought me my food, I asked where the silverware was and she said “it’s inside” and walked away. I told her it was my first time there and she just seemed miserable. Ruined the whole experience.
