Sovrana’s is the best pizza with great sauce and thick savory crust. It has been a tradition to get a slice even driving through Albany since I used to get it at the end of the night in my college days. It is the same and the family is the same. Great nostalgia.

The food here is awesome. Pizza like your grandma used to make, delicious subs, eclairs, cookies..etc. the staff are awesome as well. They’re very friendly and accommodating and the prices are great too. If you live anywhere in a 20 mile radius you should stop by and have some great food and an even better experience.

We just moved to Albany. It’s been months of airbnb’s, hotels, looking for home. Nothing could have punctuated the fact that we have found a home here so finely as tonight’s dinner. This food isn’t just delicious, it’s phenomenal. I’m so glad to see how treasured this place is by this city we’re falling in love with, I just have to sign my own name as yet another appreciative customer. I know you have to be well aware of how much more you could charge for the quality you provide, but making food this good this accessible does more than just provide yet another place to grab dinner, it provides nourishment and a sense of community and as my first real meal in our new home, i can’t say how wonderful that feeling was tonight. A hidden gem in Albany. Been around since 1985. Old Italian Cafe setting. All of their pizza are delicious. Got the ziti with meatballs covered in mozzarella. Delicious! Just wish they were in a better neighborhood. I’ll definitely be back.
