I use to love big easy grill. But the prices have gone way up and the quality has gone down. I mean a $2.50 up charge on a $15 sandwich to get less than a hand full of fries is a little ridiculous. The bread was stale, cat fish was chewy and not crispy. Kinda reminded me of prebreadded catfish you’d get from Walmart and not freshly battered to order.

1st time here. Service was a little slow at first. I stood there for around 5 mins before anyone noticed me . Cooks looked and me and turned around . 1 lady seated me and seemed like she wasn’t happy to be there and another Waitress Grace) seemed busy as she had a large group in the back ,But was happy to help me and take my order.

I’m always a little apprehensive when we go out to eat because my daughter and I both have food allergies. This place was amazing! So helpful and accommodating. The food tasted amazing as well! Very pleased!

We’re from KC and here visiting family, and we look forward to the amazing food from Big Easy every time we come into town. It is absolutely delicious! The portions are huge and we are always beyond satisfied with left overs to enjoy the next day. This restaurant has the best Cajun we’ve ever had. Thanks Big Easy for being our favorite Springfield restaurant!

People should be arrested if they don’t try this place within 3 days of arriving in Springfield. I was very very pleased with my Shrimp Gumbo and Shrimp Pasta with White sauce. Nice people and the service was pretty fast as well. Everything came out piping hot and had strong good flavors of Louisiana. You gotta stop!

Only went for the Bread Pudding as others have raved about it. I got mine to go and ate it before leaving the parking lot. I about passed out and went into a coma as it was very good and sweet! Get them to warm it up for you if you are getting it to go. A must try and you may not see it on the menu.

Good size portion for the price, served hot and fresh with good flavor. Great costumer service I would definitely recommend to others. I had the shrimp and grits, he had the jambalaya.

Was once very impressed with the food and atmosphere…over the last couple of years I have been more aggrevated and less impressed… the consistency of the jambalaya is far from that.. I am at this moment chocking down the most greasey dirty rice with grilled chicken and sausage on top with 2 shrimp… this is a side order…ordered it spicy…. my wife ordered a side of dirty rice not spicy….the only difference between her dirty rice and my jambalaya was the couple pieces of chicken and 2 shrimp thrown on top… mine was not spicy hot…the last several times we have ordered take out for dinner the jambalaya was better not much better: although the large order had 2 shrimp.. and wasn’t much more, size wise, than the side I ordered tonight.. The owners are very hospitable when we have dined in…it is only a few blocks from my house and unfortunately the only “cajun” claiming vendor our town has to offer besides that horrible place by the mall… gtfoh..the roast beef po boy is amazing and should have been what I ordered this evening but I shook the dice once again on receiving that good ol jambalaya from years past… just ain’t the same. Don’t be afraid to try other menu items because of this review. The gumbo is excellent and consistent. When they have fried gator tail the breading and seasoning is on point… it’s along drive to Louisiana for some jambalaya and I have thought many times of granting this town another option for Southern and Cajun food….but I digress..

This wasn’t only my favorite cajun I’ve had, but my favorite meal I’ve had in a long time. Service was fantastic. Tried the boudin balls, crawfish etouffee, gumbo, and shrimp po boy. Everything was perfect, even the leftovers. When I go for cajun I expect tons of flavor and big easy came through. Can’t wait to come back and try the roast beef sandwich they recommended.
